  1. The deluxe drink package is definitely worth it. Got off the Harmony on Sunday. My husband was able to get a smoothie or French juice from the Vitality spa everyday after his workout. We got bottle water with every alcoholic beverage. Stored in out fridge and took the cold bottles off the ship at ports. It was hot in Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico so it helped. Got milkshakes for my son at Johnny rockets. Fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast in the windjammer. Got alcoholic beverages throughout the day. It gave us a chance to try different drinks we’ve never had before. If we didn’t like it then we would get something else. We didn’t have to worry about penny pinching formthe tab for drinks each day.

  2. I'm following this post because my husband and I are traveling on the same cruise on Easter with our 5 yr old and 14 month old children.  Like you, his is our first time traveling with the kids.  We haven't cruised in 6 years.  Thankfully, we'll have 7 other family members to help when needed.  We have a balcony room, but not sure if having the pack and play will make the room tighter.

  3. I booked a Playa Mia excursion through www.shoreexcursioneer.com.  It is such cheaper than RCL (traveling on Harmony in 2 weeks).  I got the All inclusive ticket for my husband and I. I got the buffet ticket for my 5 yr old son.  My 1 year gets in and eats for free.  But I did hear the a la carte menu is much better.  We'll also get out own transportation to and from (cheaper as well)

  4. On Friday, I just found out that I'm 10 weeks pregnant :D But my cruise on the Anthem of the Seas leaves on August 3rd and will be going to 3 countries that have Zika. Unfortunately I didn't buy cruise inurance, but from what I have been reading, the insurance does not cover Travel to Zika infected areas. I was on the phone with Royal Caribbean for about an hour in Friday and they said if I cancel then I would have a 75% penalty. This would be the same if I changed itineraries. If I provide a doctor's note then they will review my case and MAY refund the penalty and give a cruise credit valid for up to 2 years. So there is no guarentee of me getting a full credit.

I was still thinking of going because I cannot afford to lose all that money. I have purchased Sawyer repellent products as a precaution. I was told that Bermuda is not affected and I'm able to get off there. As for the other ports (St. Martin, San Juan, Haiti), I would not get off the ship. There are soo many things to do that will keep me busy. Timing is bad but my husband and I have not had vacation since having our son 4 years ago and with another one coming we need the time together.
