Do you recall who it was that you heard this from?
Penny, the newly-hired loyalty/booking person.

I was aboard Onward for their transatlantic cruise Miami to Grand Canary, disembarking a few days ago. At the Top Cruisers Event, the top three cruisers were ranked by days (#1 was 681 days - impressive!); it was briefly mentioned that counting by days (not points) would be part of the new loyalty program for Azamara, starting on March 20th. I went the next day to ask about the new program, and was told the following:
- Cruises on Celebrity would be separated out and removed from Azamara's system, and Azamara cruises would be removed from Celebrity's system. (Note that I do not believe that Celebrity will remove Azamara cruises from their current totals, but I guess we will see.)
- Status levels would be based on days sailed on Azamara, unlike the current Azamara/Celebrity point system.
- It would probably take time for all Azamara accounts to be updated (i.e. not every account would be ready to view with accurate information on March 20th).
- They were unsure (or did not want to disclose) the number of days associated with each status level.
Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I just received the offer yesterday at 1:30p (CDT). I went ahead and registered. This time there was a request in the registration form for me to enter the CC numbers for all the people that would be watching.
Same here, except that mine was received this morning.

FYI I watched the video and then accessed the quiz from the webpage which showed the video, but my quiz wouldn't be accepted (claimed my CC# was incorrect). I then went back to the newsletter and directly accessed the quiz from there and it worked fine (w/same CC#).

I was on M/S Victoria over Christmas 1974 [San Juan - Curacao - La Guaira (Caracas) - <Grenada dropped due to unrest> - Guadaloupe - St. Thomas] ; let me see if I can dig out our photo album from that cruise...

Interesting - we had Daniel on our one night in Prime C. Both restaurants were very nice, and well worth the $15 pp charge. The only disappointment was the 3-cheese onion soup - the cheeses were very bland (I can't believe they used Gruyere, as it could not be tasted). Mushroom soup was fabulous, the mixed grill was far too much for one person. In Aqualina, get the chilled seafood platter & either souffle. I liked both the steamed lobster & the Thermidor, but a new friend form the cruise thought the Thermidor sauce reminded her of Campbell's soup.
Azamara starting new loyalty program/system?

I would be very surprised if anyone loses status, but if they are no longer going to use the Celebrity "point" system then who knows where things will end up? Maybe if the new system would demote some people they would be kept at their current level?
