HI.
I spent quite a bit of time at La Sagrada. There is a small brick building right outside the north entrance that was used a a school for the builders children. You could meet there and still go back in to see anything else together. Below the church is an history museum. You can meet at the scale model? The gift shop which is across from the brick school.

Thanks Enric for all your help in these forums! I lurk here as I'm coming to your fair city on October 26th for cruise October 29.
As you said no crystal ball what will happen. Kind of a weird thing for tourists to walk into a political uprising/separation at the beginning stages.
As a solo traveler is it okay to walk around the city as long as avoiding demonstrator hooligans. I feel the people of Catalonia are in general peaceful. Would just suggest taxi rides for solos or should I trust in the good nature (other than the pickpockets) of the people of Catalonia.
Thanks for your help!

Yeah I think this one is the winner. I'll go into a branch this week and talk to someone about it. Thank you guys!
If you don't want to open a brokerage account with Schwab (very good company)
However E*Trade Bank also doesn't charge transaction fees or credits them back if charged. You can use any banks ATM with no fees. You can sign up online and they'll mail you the card.
Just another option

Has anyone stayed at the H10 Port Vell? Seems boutique and within a short walk to a lot.

So terrible for the people of Barcelona and the travelers. I will be travelling there this October. No where is 100% safe, I am sad that another such beautiful city has to go through such anguish. Prayers to all the family and friends involved.

Hi All,
For me solo is the way to go as DH hates travel of any kind. He went when the kids were younger and his parents came too. But now kids are adults and his mom has passed. He is a homebody. He like his own bed and shower and is not interested in seeing the world. What makes us different is what makes us interesting to each other.

I agree what others have said. If you're going to high tourist areas there will also be pickpockets.
I used a money belt but also carried a purse. I had zero problems. On one street my phone actually fell out of my purse and a nice Barcelona resident pointed out that it fell out.
So there are bad apples but no more than at other European Cities . Don't hang a purse on your seat back at restaurants keep it at your feet. Don't leave it if you get up for any reason. You will have no problems if you use common sense.
