  1. Same issue - HOURS on hold since the new guidance came out. No problem getting through to live person to book a new reservation though - but naturally the representative transferred me.  Ended up losing our deposit and can’t get anyone on the phone to discuss it with us. I’m really upset with carnival.

  2. Curious if I can bid on an upgrade if we booked with a TA?  How does the bid process work?

Not 100% happy with our TA and in hindsight I wish we had booked online solo.  TA doesn’t seem knowledgeable about MSC and we decided to book with a TA because we were unfamiliar with the line. I can’t even see my booking when I sign in, I’m only able to see add ons like booking massages etc.

  3. Super interested in this as well. My little guy would love the sand bar. Let us know if you find out any more info on this... if we end up going (Oct 2019) I will report back with photos. On a side note - it’s been awhile A. Love the website with a quick run down of ports 🙂 B. What happened to the sig line with all your links?  Whenever we book a cruise, I go looking to read (and reread) your adventures!

  4. We got cancelled on by NCL (Escape 9/9).

We received a full refund + 50% credit towards our next cruise. I purchased the insurance, because stuff happens. That being said.. after seeing how Royal handled this, I am in disbelief.. I'm a Floridian and it's going to be bad here with Irma (I personally spent the day filling sandbags in north coastal Florida). We recently started branching out to different lines (we were carnival junkies for years and years).. I won't sail Royal because of how they are handling this situation.

Everyone in this storms path, and everyone that will attempt to get to Miami to sail on that sailing - please be careful! Those driving in, at the moment A lot of florida is out of gas and water, traffic is horrendous. STAY SAFE EVERYONE

  5. Hi all,

    Few questions..

I understand there is a messaging app for NCL in which you can message other people on the ship.. how does this work and what is the price? If I get this, would DH also have to purchase the app? Is it typed messages only, or also voice calls? Can the kids club contact us via the app?

Second, can someone explain the internet packages to me? I would definitely need a lot of minutes, or unlimited internet. What is the pricing on that? Can I have my phone on the internet and switch it over to my iPad and/or laptop if needed (cant be disconnected from work completely). How fast is the internet onboard? Also, will Voip or say fb calling work on the ships internet if I had to speak with my assistant back home?

Thanks for answering in advance!! ;)

  6. Has anyone done this recently and liked it? The descriptions are vague but it sounds as if you hit the beach afterwords. Would you have rather done a beach day instead? Is the catamaran one better than the schooner? Much thanks

    Curious about this also

  7. Right now we have about 15 - I'm thinking of doing the morning of Nassau day, reading from the other posts, that it's usually offered around that time.

On our Baltic cruise in May, one person signed up our group (about 8 of us) as she boarded before we did. We had a ballpark idea of what time it would be held (sea day) and let her make the decision. You didn't mention how many were in your group...the answer may be different for 30 people vs 8.
  8. quick question to those who have done escape to the top. We have a group that is wanting to do escape to the top. Does everyone need to be there to do sign up? Or can one person go and sign up everyone? For instance, we have a group (of people I haven't met - like from a message/roll call) that all want to do it) I'm coordinating. I understand from reading on cc that it's supposedly on Sunday at noon on the escape.

How would you all go about coordinating this? Thoughts from the been there done that group? Would ncl even let me sign up such a large group of not everyone were present to sign themselves up?

    Thanks in advance

  9. Although my experience isn't ncl related (I'm on here researching my next cruise which is ncl, but thought I'd chime in) on ccl, I was provided what could only be described as an extra "mommy key" which unlocked the door to my underage sons cabin, when he was booked in with a grandparent. What ended up happening was he stayed with us and we let the steward know, so we got extra towels and beach towels etc for him.

  10. Im trying to schedule all this.. and finding freestyle cruise "scheduling" a little frustrating to say the least..

anyway, what is supper club? Lol. Is it different than "for the record" and "after midnight" that I'm already scheduled for, with food? Or a different show entirely? I asked my vacation contact at ncl, and they acted as if I had 3 heads.. and only mentioned "wine lovers, the musical" which I'm not interested in.

Further, I purchased the 3 dining packing.. would I be wasting one if I purchased this in advance, and should wait until I am onboard to purchase this (since naturally I'm behind, and didn't realize I should be planning speciality dining in advance, and can't book for 2 where we want to go now lol). Oh well. Help! 😂 Thank you!!

  11. There's a facebook page, what's going on st thomas, where both locals and visitors post for charter shares. You might want to post there or join another charter.

There's a page on our sailing (I'm on your sailing too by the way lol) you may want to post this to.. find it by searching Ncl Escape 9/9/17 :)

  12. thanks in advance for this: I have so many random questions...

Sailing on the eastern escape in a few weeks. We are trying to get a group of us together for the escape room on board. I read it's typically offered on Friday at 10am (Nassau day) or Sunday at 12 noon. Anyone with kids done this? My understanding is that the kids club isn't open during those time 😂 My luck right.. opens at port arrival time on port days.. and is closed at noon on sea days.. seriously?

My little will be quiet if he's hanging at our table with his iPad, is this what others do? Or am i wrong that kids club is open? Or am i reading this wrong... gimmie a break.. lol.

  13. No Spoilers Please!!

How is the grouping done on these? Thinking of getting a group together from our m&g instead of complete strangers... anyone know how many they Group into a group? Dates/time? Any other info we need? No spoilers!! So excited! Love escape rooms!! Thanks in advance!!!

  14. I noticed on the ncl booking for dining (which I'm more than slightly frustrated with at the moment.. grrr) that it states that there is a complementary children's menu or the child can order from the menu and incur dining fees. How does this work? Anyone know what's on this kids menu? My little is a chicken nugget, pizza child lol.

My 6 yr DS loves Going to restaurants such as Teppanyaki.. but won't eat the food. Also curious how I book 2 adults and a child for the complementary menu (if I'm reading this right). I'm running into the issue all over the place that there arent available reservations for 2, but tons for 3 people.. my fault for booking late I suppose, but planning all this is stressing me out, doesn't feel so freestyle to me :/ just sayin.

Thanks in advance for everyone's insight!!

Terms State: "children may order off of our complimentary children’s menu in any of our specialty restaurants at no charge, or they may order from the main specialty restaurant menu and pay the full cover charge."

  15. Yes.

Do you prefer "bed-near-balcony" or "bed-near-closet"?

13746 should be "bed-near-balcony" while the other 2 should be near closet.

How can you tell which cabin is which lol. Cruising on the Escape in September, and I'm very curious now. ;)

  16. Good Morning everyone!

I'm trying to prebook our dinners and shows on the Escape for our September Eastern. I have a few questions.. I don't want to miss anything amazing by selecting the early or late show. Is the 730 or 10 pm showtime a better option? Also we have a 6 year old, so time to drop him off at camp prior to the show would need to be factored in.

Other than After Midnight and For the Record, are there other shows we can prebook? I remember reading something about a dinner show, is that still on board?

Other than the dinners and the shows, is there anything else I need to schedule? We don't do ship excursions, so not worried about that.

    Thank you in advance!!
