  1. To Gettingwarmer. The Princess cabin is more than likely to be a Standard Balcony cabin and not a Full Suite which is the Fred price. Similar cruise on Princess range from Balcony at £1599 and Suite at £3999 per person.

  2. To Megabear2 whilst TTL does not quote the individual cruise he his looking at it does not take long on a search on Freds website to find the cruise with the clues given. Iceland and Greenland and 15nts. In honesty I did not find one this year but next year cruise T2518 seems to match most of the info given. Also the price matches.

As I said I agree that Freds prices have gone quite high but when you are showing comparisons its good to show like for like. I do not think in any way that the Princess cruise cabin would be the same standard has the Fred cabin.

  3. Whilst I agree that Freds prices seem to have gone quite high I do think that twotravellersLondon has over stated the prices.  Again whilst I agree ttL posts some very good comments on the forum he does appear to have the downs on Fred at the moment.

On the cruise he highlighted, his prices are based on the Olsen Suite which is the highest level. A Balcony Junior Suite is available at £5299 with either £300 obc or Free Door to Door Transfer. Fred also offers a Drinks package at £24.99 per day. Gratuities at the moment are £5 a day which I would think must be one of the lowest amounts of the cruise lines that charge.

  4. Just a note for Selbourne re cab fares.  The cabs used to be able to charge an extra quite substantial fee for entering the cruise port. As this is only just past a set of gates  to the drop off point it seems quite a mark up. It is better to ask for the cab to take you to the Ernest N Morial Conference Centre and walk the short distance. Obviously check out which terminal you are at first.

  5. Depending on when you booked the cruise. P&O sent out emails to select passengers back in I believe April 22 with an offer of extra onboard credit and a free drinks package. If you booked this offer nothing appeared on your booking confirmation apart from a statement that you did not have to book the drinks package. The drinks package was for the ultimate package but when they changed the packages they were updated to the deluxe package.

  6. Selbourne not sure what you mean about your call into port canaveral and your wife not been through us customs on your return from your tour. As you will be aware from your previous cruise to the usa all passengers and crew go through us customs at the first usa port of call. Also be aware that if you leave the ship and try and return before the custom clearance is complete your return could be barred. Obviously i am not aware if special arrangements have been made for wheel chair users but this is just a general way things are organised.
