  1. Hello everyone,

Apologies in advance as no pictures.

We took the 3 night to Nassau.

5 girls, 4 of us several cruises under our belts and 1 newbie , my mom, 77 years old.

I can tell you my mom is searching future cruises as we speak... She had an absolute blast in spite of having a slight cold.

We had balcony cabins 6379 and 6383, right across from the self serve laundry, never even saw the door open.

We were able to open the partition so we had 5 chairs and 1 small table and had plenty of room.

We kept the bed in twin configuration and I slept on the sofa bed which was very comfy. The linens and pillows are still wonderful in my opinion and we slept great.

The shower was always nice and hot and great water pressure. It had the usual shampoo and shower gel, and one small round bar of hand soap at the sink. We always take a bar of soap from home so just commenting for those that are curious.

There was some noise from the Atrium, but nothing that bothered us, even with my mom and sister going to bed early.

It was nice to see such great participation from cruisers in the Atruim parties.. Lots of singing and dancing.

We always found a spot to sit and play cards in the back pool area... So easy access to hot tubs.. Which were actually hot on this ship, bathroom, bar, pool and food.

The pizza was excellent and we had several pieces.

The deli had great potential and this was the first time I ever had a Reuben I could not eat, piping hot on the outside but the meat, which was piled high, was ice cold...but the number they were putting out was big- so no complaints.

The night shift pizza guy was the only unfriendly person we encountered on the ship.

There was no other food available after 10 ish except the pizza or deli or pay for order room service... And the lines were very very long in both places.

We found the ship to be clean and always saw them cleaning through out the day.. Yes, there is some rust, yes there was some crumbs in window sill in lido , yes the Windows could have used a cleaning but this was a beautiful ship.

Dining room had table cloths on formal night, not sure about the other night we ate there.

    Still felt pampered.

We really had a great time.

My only complaints for this voyage were the lack of Liberty specific souvenirs... I always get the ship magnet and they did not have them. Due to language difference I am not sure if they are phasing those out or if they just did not get a restock before our sailing... As I spoke with a worker in the shop but just could not understand what she was saying.

The t shirt sale had 3 small tables... No medium or large available except in Princess Cay , which we did not visit.

Embarkation was a breeze, arrived about 30 mins before our scheduled time and was on the ship within 15 minutes.

Getting off the ship, was the usual mess...

I would recommend this cruise to anyone and her attributes far out weigh her flaws...

Thank you and enjoy which ever cruise you choose!!

  2. Hello.

Just off the Carnival Liberty today.

My sister broke her ankle and foot about 5 weeks ago. She is still non weight bearing.

She was able to go to the dining room with one more of our party for muster.

She used a borrowed scooter that she was supposed to use like a skate board, knee on a padded seat , use good leg to propel herself. She was so sore in legs after first use that she would just sit on the little seat and we would push her...lol

We had a great time.... We were in cabin 6379 so mid ship. We could get her back to room in quick time when her keester got sore from the seat.

Hope this helps... Enjoy your cruise.

  3. Our first cruise was n the Sensation and we were blown away.

Second was on the Dream and knew I would never book the Sensation again.... just for certain bells and whistles that the Sensation did not have. But the Dream did not take away anything from our cruise on the Sensation. Third cruise was on Sunshine and I had some concerns that I may not be as blown away as my other 2 cruises...wrong.. Had a blast and was blown away. Boarding Liberty in abut a month and can't wait. Boarding Magic in about 5 months. Every ship will have something for me.. I just know I won't sail the fantasy size again. But I can't wait to see the Liberty.. She looks so beautiful.

I'm sorry if I rambled.. TMI.

    Happy booking!!

  4. I will give a shout to the Dream class ships for Carnival.

While they do have some pool games geared towards adults - there are so many other water areas to play at during those events which are short lived.

As for warmer I think anything Caribbean is safe. Being a Florida native I can tell you most Christmas's are spent in shorts and flip flops.

Enjoy your hunting for the ship/line as that is fun to plan out too.

Rest assured your family will have a blast on a cruise!!

  5. So far I have only cruised Carnival and have been blown away every time. I would try another line for sure but what most interests me are features on the Dream class for Carnival. I love deck 5 with the full walk around , large hot tubs that are mostly empty and I love the aft pool with the pool bar. Royal looks so closed in unless you are on top, decks or in Central Park areas on the Oasis class.. But that is only going by pics and videos I have seen, so I may be wrong. Disney is not an option as I love to donate to the casino.

    Thank you for the comparison.

  6. Low carb works for me as well as drinking tons of water ( which I have to force myself to do )

I did want to say that one of my fav desserts is the cheese plate. I do like the WCMC but that cheese plate is just divine.. 😋☺️

  7. I have been on the Sunshine and I loved it.

The waterfall was fantastic.. But it is not a pool that it flows into. Maybe a large jacuzzi size.... Much much smaller than I thought it would be. But I enjoyed sitting just to the left of the waterfall on the 2nd deck of the 3 that are the serenity, in the shade, watching concerts on the big screen while the rest of the ship enjoyed Key West. And sipping the best Mojito I had ever had.

    Yeah..I am a lucky girl!!

  8. Thank you for the comments about Paradise. We live about 45 mins from P Canaveral so Tampa isn't much of a drive either.

I had never even heard of the Paradise until she went to Tampa.

Our first cruise was on the Sensation and we loved it. She would be a sister ship to Paradise- right?.

But our fav are the Dream Class...

  9. Thank you. I got the free drink card on both my last cruises by night 3 or 4, which meant nothing as I had already purchased the cheers package ( which cut our bar bill in half ). Going on 3 dayer soon so I emailed as my PVP said I had $75 in free play. I just sent an email to confirm. I can't recall how many points I had but I usually spend all my winnings by playing. So I have a lot of play time. Slots only.

  10. I am a fan of the Dream class. Love deck 5 and cove balconys.

Bigger ship means bigger casino.. Also love the waterworks area. I have foot issues so can't utilize the ladder to get out of the pools without a lot pain. So a quick trip to water works and I am drenched and cooled off and giggling like a kid.

Wish the Large hot tubs were hotter.

The Sunshine was very nice by the waterfall. I would cruise her again.

The Senasation was my first and it was a great cruise too...but would not sail on that size again.

So my fav so far has been the Dream.

But I have been wanting to go on Liberty for some time.. So we shall see.
