DaKahuna has it correct. Very easy to do.

Some refunds get processed faster than others. Sometimes something is snagged up for whatever reason. If your agent calls in to follow up on it she may be told that Royal won't look into it for at least 30 days since that is the time frame they give you. After 30 days, they will take a closer look to track down the money. Have your agent call and see where things are in the process. If you indeed booked with a refundable deposit, it's probably being held up in penalty somewhere. Your agent needs to call to move it along.

I like the Lays plain chips. Sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not. Room service has those chips so they do exist on the ship. You may be able to get some if you ask.

Well, thanks for telling us your experience. I just went through my cart and emptied anything that I was looking at just in case. I hope you get your issue resolved.

Crew members have to wear masks for 5 days while they are going through their soft quarantine and testing when they first join the ship for their contract.

Thanks. It is still strange as it was a family cruise.
You should have been able to book 3 for each member of your party. They would have to sign the paper but that is easily handled.

Definitely use a Travel Agent. FYI, the final payment for the March 31st sailing is coming up quickly so you will soon be in full payment territory.

The protocol is 28 days prior to your sailing.

Are they IHealth test kits? Anyway, I specifically asked if the box had to be sealed. It does not, as long as the packaged items inside the box are unopened, you are fine. (Because some boxes have two kits inside. One test you may have used already.)

Since the Galveston Voyager cruises are now showing up on RCCL site I checked my two “new” Voyager cruises, both are in very particular cabins. One cruise is booked in an Oceanview Panoramic suite of which there are only two and the other cruise is booked in the Royal Suite of which there is only one. Glad to see neither is showing as available to book on my cruises. Now to wait for the email confirming.
I am finding this as well. I have a group on the Adventure Sept 18th sailing. We have the RS and OS and a GS booked. Looking at the new Voyager sailing for that date, each one of those particular rooms are not available. The OS and the GS are not an issue because there are more but they had better grab us the RS for my clients. I'm sweating bullets until I see the new invoice.

With a suite guarantee you will most likely receive a JS.
The 2 most undesirable locations IMO would be deck 14 (under the pool deck) or deck 7 as you cannot cross from port to starboard at the aft elevators which are the elevators you would most likely use for those JS's
I hate deck seven for any room on this class because you can't cross from one side to the next and it takes a few days for me to figure out my bearings and it seems like I'm always on the wrong side. lol

Thanks for the heads up about Walgreens charging now. I just did a mock booking just now and they were going to charge me when I answered that I had no symptoms. Then I went back and said I had a runny nose and cough it was not going to charge me.
Two weeks ago, I wanted to try out one of these cheap online sites. I booked and did my Walgreens test so I had my negative result just in case I had an issue with my experiment. I used OnPoint and at that time the test was only $9.99 and I used one of the free IHealth test sent out by the government.
Certified Teleservice COVID Testing - OnPoint Testing (onpoint-testing.com)
I was able to set up a session as quick as an hour from when I purchased the appointment. There was a bit of a learning curve because the IHealth tests have a different kit than the EMED but she talked me through it. The one thing I didn't like was that she was asking me my booking number for the cruise and my flight info. I started to get that info for her and asked why she needed it, she said so she could report the results. I told her that I didn't want to give her that information and she that it was not necessary, you can just say you don't want to answer that. I'm glad that I pushed back on that.
She told me the results right then and there and I received an email about 20 minutes later. And yes, I presented those results to board and got through just fine. (Had Walgreens in my pocket just in case. lol) I will be using them again this weekend as I am coming in 3 days early. I see that their fee has popped up to $14.99.

We went with IHealth proctored testing last time Anita. There was no problem using both tests, as long as the interior components were still sealed. But IHealth isn't offering proctored testing at present. (And they're not my company. ) Bill used the second test in the box.
I think we are going to try this company (OnPoint Testing) next time in September. I don't know what their procedures are yet, but they keep lowering the price of proctored testing.
And remember you get 8 free tests a month at local pharmacies. (via your insurance) And those seem to be FlowFlex tests in individual small boxes. They work just like all the others.
I'm going to give them a try on Friday. I also have a Walgreens test scheduled as well so I will have those results as a back up. But I want to try this proctoring site to see if it works. I cruise on Sunday.

You can be a proponent for emed tests all you wish. RCI does agree that it has to be a proctored antigen test. In spite of this CLIA test nonsense, it is not a requirement, because most pharmacies and testing sites do not print it on their test results. CLIA is a voluntary organization, and check in people are no longer looking for it now that there are so many other testing options are available.
I'm not buying anymore antigen tests, now that I have an entire box of FDA, EUA approved tests that were actually fully covered by my insurance. My insurer will provide me with 8 tests a month, they will only reimburse $12 for emed tests. The proctoring fee for them is minimal.
Patty, I'm going to try your company for my next test. So the free tests that I got from USPS has two kits in it, but the box needs to be unopened for the test right? So basically that second test that's in the box cannot be used for proctoring I am assuming? Or am I missing something?

Asking for a 10 is a big no no. I was having a meal with an officer and I observed this happening. The officer took the employee aside privately and had a chat with him.
The company that I worked for previously relied very heavily on these surveys and if someone said that they were asked to give a high score, it invalidated the survey.

Hmmm...it clearly states "for pre cruise purchases". I'm kinda bummed, mine was only $50 but it didn't show as an onboard credit.
If you don't spend it on a precruise purchase the credit will go to your onboard account for you to spend there. Use it all up though because you won't get any of it refunded if you don't spend it. And yes you can use it towards gratuities.

We will be on Oasis 9 days in August. I kept going back and forth between the UDP and the 3 day specialty restaurant one. Ended up buying the 3 day specialty restaurant on a good sale. Windjammer is always open, Café Promenade, Sorrentos and El Loco Fresh will be our go to places for lunches and snacks and no extra charge for these.
If you have the deluxe drink package the Johnny Rocket milk shakes are included.
Don't forget Park Cafe too. I rotate between El Loco Fresh and Park Cafe on the ship.

Have a great time. I've been on her 4 times now. It's good to be back out there. Enjoy.

Here in Florida in my area Walgreens has the Rapid ID Now NAAT tests. Results back sometimes before I can drive home from the pharmacy. Where I am CVS only has PCR tests that take ~48 hours.
Closer to larger cities like Orlando CVS has rapid antigen tests. I imagine South Florida CVS probably have rapid test available but haven't looked.
All free though.
I got tested today too. What ship are you going on? My husband and I will be on the Symphony. Let me know if you are her.

So weird, my Nov. 3rd 4 night still shows Labadee. The weird part is your cruise is after mine and you've gotten notification already.
Are you on the Oasis? I've been wondering and waiting to see if they change out this port. I'm hoping it will be Coco Cay.

You used to be able to log into cruise planner with just the reservation number, ship, sail date and last name. I could go in and purchase things for clients.
I just checked and this option has been removed. Now you have to create an account which includes creating a password..
This stinks as I also like to go into the Cruise Planner for my clients because a lot of them are first timers.. usually to give them guidance with a drink package. I noticed this change a few days ago and hope it was a glitch. This is gonna stink that we can no longer go into their Planner.
