I don't work for the cruise line, but I have a 6 night cruise & they all seem to multiply by 6 for me.  I don't know the other answers, so hopefully someone else will respond.  I would expect a script runs upon connection that blocks you from setting up a hotspot and sharing the connection.  I don't see anything about per room or passenger - they all seem to indicate per device.

TG are my initials and I live in Texas. That is both funny and weird. 🙂

I am in Lubbock, how about you?

  2. I returned today from a four day Celebrity Reflection 5/20-5/24, 2024. My balcony on a Sunset Sky Suite, cabin 1214 looked like this: we had a lounger, a small table, two standard chairs, a large table and a tall backed chair (left to right in the picture). I took the picture for this thread after having read it before the cruise.

I can tell you why I don't - the motion.  I am very susceptible to motion sickness and I have always found the smaller ships (which comprises the vast majority, if not all of luxury lines) to have a lot more motion.  The larger ships also have more variety of things to do, although truth be told since I love to relax onboard I would love to sail a luxury line if they were larger.

What about the Virgin cruise line?

My June 23rd cruise on Solstice to Alaska is completely sold out.

What do you mean by added when you booked? You booked All Included with Drinks and WiFi or you paid separately for the drink package? You can only adjust the price if you purchased drinks separately.

Oddly enough, I had originally booked an all inclusive Concierge Cabin. When the Concierge Cabins were sold out, my TA called them to check on upgrading. She upgraded me to an Aquaclass cabin and saved me $1,300. However, I noticed last week that the "savings" was because it was a no perk rate. Thus, last week, I had her add the Premium drink package and Premium Wi-Fi. Because of this sale and the weird way I ended up adding the Premium package later, I will be able to take advantage of the sale, I think. 🙂

  6. I smoked my first cigar on a Celebrity cruise. You can smoke outdoors at the aft bar (where the smoke simply gets wafted away from the ship because the ship is usually moving). I believe that there is also an area on the main deck on the starboard (I think) side of the ship where you can smoke. The bar is nicer.

Celebrity does not have formal nights, they are called Chic evenings and are more relaxed than the formal nights of the past. The dress code is on the Celebrity website, but is basically anything but shorts  in the dining venues. You’ll see some still like to go all out, but the majority dress more casual.
On a 7 night cruise they usually are day 2 and day 6.

Thank you so much. Interestingly, day 2 and day 6 are our sea days, so I guess that's a lock. 🙂

  8. On the subject of being served drinks, on my two week cruise this June, my wife and I were in a suite for the first time. Thus, our tips and were already paid for. However, on the last full day of the cruise, I went around tipping all of my bartenders, servers, stateroom attendant, etc., as if our tips were not already paid for. Apparently, all of these people knew that I was giving double tips, because, on that last day, I never, ever had to wait for a drink. I wouldn't be finished with the one that I was drinking and a fresh one would already be there waiting for me without me even having asked for it. I would be walking from one part of the ship to another, and suddenly there would be a drink in my hand, handed to me by a passing bartender or server without me asking for it; it was freaky and awesome. I spent most of the day fairly drunk (luckily I can really hold my liquor), and I had a great time.

What's the laundry (just washing, not dry cleaning) cost / discount as part of staying in a Sky Suite? I'm in one in a few days, no status, so curious if its small then maybe I can pack less.

They simply charged us the $20 per bag rate every time, not by item. I don't know if they were just being nice or what, but we must have used the service five or six times.

We send laundry about every other day, we are Elite Plus so we each get two free bags per cruise. It allows us to travel with two carryons on 14 day cruise.

That is what my wife and I did on our two week cruise earlier this year. We were in London for four days before the cruise. Once we were on the ship, we had laundry that needed to be done. We sent out laundry about every other day in the little bags. We were in a Sky Suite, so they didn't charge us much and it was all good. 🙂

I'm ok with Partner.    Over the past 33 years we have been Partners, Domestic Partners, Significant Others. California Only Legally Married and finally Fully married in the eyes of the Fed's

When we were legal only in California the IRS made us file a a Partnership -  What  a mess we had to prepare 4 different tax returns.  and file as both married to the state and a "business partnership" for the feds.

You do you. I am cool with that. And I will do myself. 🙂

I am drunk, what were we talking about?

  12. My wife and I were in a sky suite on a cruise last month. We had not used our butler at all. Halfway through the cruise, he asked us if there was anything that he could do for us. I said that a bottle of champagne every once in awhile would be nice. After that, there was a bottle of champagne in our cabin waiting for us every other night. One night, when we didn't have a bottle, we ordered one. We were never charged for any of the champagne. Is this because it is included with the suite? Is it because it is included with the premium package? Or was our butler just being nice (even though it was somebody else who delivered the bottle of champagne that one night?

Thanks in advance for the information. 🙂

  13. I checked on my already booked 2024 Singapore to Sydney cruise to see if this sale would save me money. I looked at an equivalent aft concierge cabin which I have booked. At the box, it said that the cabin was $2,300. I thought, hey, I might save some money. When it asked me to pay, however, it showed the cost at $3,300; $1,000 more per person. This made the booking with the discount out to be even more than my current booking. I understand the bait and switch, but they should fix the price amount on the initial screen so that it doesn't hit you in the face at the end.

I am trying to choose a veranda or Concierge Class Veranda on the Silhouette for a cruise into the Caribbean.   I have never sailed on this class ship so I'm hoping my Cruise Critic friends can help me.

Location, size of balcony and room size are the things that I consider as much as the price.  If anyone has a favorite cabin, other that a Suite (price is too high), please give me your recommendations.  Very much appreciated!!!!!!!

Cabin 1075. It is the cabin that my wife and I took on that ship for our honeymoon. It has a very deep balcony because it is on the hump (my wife has Lupus, so a deep balcony out of the sun was paramount). It is concierge class and it is a great cabin for placement and for the extra large balcony.
