Yes, due to a propulsion problem, they changed the itinerary. We're sailing Sunday 9/3 and it affected our trip as well.

Going to be fixed in January. Just got to go with the flow.

Can the dividers on the balcony cabins open to the next balcony?

We have always done this, and will again on 9/3. The Stateroom Attendant has always taken care of it, or coordinated it with the security team that opens them up.

Just off the Allure, 8/20 and I had purchased the deluxe drink package a few weeks prior to boarding.

 

Don't drink the Kool Aid of this post; Royal had no, zip, zero, issues with me having the package and wife not having such.

 

 

 

Let me just say also that when I looked back at my cruise expense account, my wife only had one drink the entire week.

 

I guess she wasn't thirsty.

It shows for our December cruise on the Allure. Prices are in Canadian:

$65/day for the beuverage package

$70/day for the beverage plus Voom

$90/day for beverage plus dining

$210 for unlimited dining

There problem with $90 a day is what if we want to do to the MDR a couple nights, maybe not such a good deal.

And our Allure trip in Sept the drink package was only $46 with the 30% off for early booking. $65 seems high. maybe pricing going up?

Not over dressed at all. There is nothing like a formal night where 80% or better do dress for the occasion. It's great to see everyone in formal attire and you will love it! have a ball, and enjoy the cruise.

First was an OV, but since then we've always done balconies. I love sitting out the in morning and frankly spent a few night sleeping out there. Nothing like the sound of the waves crashing on the ships hullo, and the breeze rustling through my hair. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much going to an inside. The last 8 have been in a GS, which works for us as do spend a fair amount of time out there. It's all what it's worth to you. Try it decide. You might never go back.:D

Was on the phone with RCCL today as they cancelled our cruise on Jan 21st 2018. We were told Allure will be out of commission starting in September....I do NOT believe this, my guess is she meant the Itinerary would change but its what the woman on the phone said. We are sad to be missing our Jan 21 cruise but lucky we re booked another date.

Better not start in September. We're on her 9/3

I'm sure she just screwed up and confused the itinerary change.

I'm on the September 3 Allure and I bet we'll lose San Juan because of bad weather and get a free sea day.

Not saying I don't believe the person, just saying I'd like to see the documentation explaining this change in policy. Say I board next week with just me pre-purchasing the premium drink package, which is the current policy, and we get aboard Royal Caribbean says my wife now has to buy the drink package because I purchased it 6-months ago. I'm supposed to pay $400 more after we board because they decided to spring this on us last second? I'd just like to see the documentation on how this is being addressed.... thank you.

I'd like to know this as well. We are sailing 9/3 and have a couple traveling with us where He got a drink package but she chose not to. Would be interesting to know if they'll have a surprise when boarding.

Aqua theater a few years ago. Will find out 9/3 when we are back, but expect the same as we did and are staying in a GS.

Jeepers... does it really matter what you where to the MDR? It doesn't bother me in the least. I figure, I'm on vacation and so are they. If this is the worst thing they can do, I'm good with it. The diversity in cultures, languages, and dress ... thats what it's all about. I never look down on someone who doesn't meet "my" standards because I know I will no doubt not meet someone's else's.

Just wondering what size the sea pass cards are. Hoping they are the same size as a credit card as I have a lanyard with a plastic credit card holder attached that is on a stretchy cord (I know the lanyard fashion police will arrest me)
