  1. It is 1 coupon per suite, so if you are in 1 suite, it would be 1 coupon. 2 if you're in 2 suites, etc.

Does not apply if you're sailing with someone who is already in the club (i think, I don't have the back of the coupon scanned and gave mine away and am awaiting more to come in the mail).

Hey! Just wanted you to know that my TA confirmed that the $400 credit has been applied to my account. You should be ... or have confirmation of that soon. Again, thanks for your help! Phil.

  2. I was mailed a coupon by a past guest ... "A BIG THANKS to Jennifer K!"I copied it and then wrote on the copy the information it requested & faxed it to my TA ... I know that I am not allowed to use a copy ... but I didn't want to void a coupon by writing on it only to be told that I didn't qualify. The TA called Seabourn and then called me back with the following direction. Fill out the coupon & mail it to the address on the back of the coupon. Send it to the attention of Ms. Adriana ****** at The Seabourn Club Desk. In a week, my TA will call to insure that the coupon was received and applied. My TA kept the copy "just in case," as did I. The process it TOO simple! Who wouldn't take advantage of this!? :p

  3. I suppose it is hard to get into the frame of mind to accept that "tipping is neither required or expected" but it is a fact. You will not encounter any sort of unspoken requirement. You have paid for the exceptional service in your cruise fare. If you do encounter some extra special, stand-out service, the crew fund is the way to go.

The smiles and attention you will get from the staff are not coloured by the expectation of a tip.

I have traveled enough to understand the different tipping issues across the world ... just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a process that I would not be aware of on this cruise line ... being my first time on Seabourn. The crew fund that both you and the Lord of the Seas suggested is an excellent direction! Thanks!

  4. I know ... tipping is not required or expected ... but it happens ... and it is appreciated. What is the "not spoken about" tipping process/amount? I don't want to come off my cruise with the realization that I should have tipped. I am in the industry ... a land based hotel ... and the service industry is suffering big time ... not only in business but in the generosity of both company and patron.

  5. If one must choose between the two, which would be the best choice. I know this is a matters of opinion but was wondering if there may be some kind of advise from those who have taken these tours previously.

We will be traveling on the Pride in October and are beginning to make our plans for our first trip to Asia. Taking both trips are probably not in our budget, if there is such a thing for a month long trip.

    Would appreciate your thoughts.

I realize that seeing them in their origional home is much more dramatic, but when they do tour ... there are many of them to give the effect. I have been to Angor Wat, and in-fact ... have a bronze item from there ... a gift from the government. I haven't seen the Terra Cotta Warriors ... but I would go back to Angor Wat ...

  6. The first time I was on the S.S. Constitution was Sep. of 1953. We were returning from 3 years in Bangkok, by way of Leharve. I have a family photo of my sister Pat and me, our heads together looking through a logged life ring. We are going on a cruise to the Baltic in a few days with plans on recreating that picture … except on the Celebrity Century! My sister always speaks of her 5th birthday as being the BEST ever … it was celebrated the night of the Captain’s Dinner … and if you traveled back then you know that the celebrations were mush bigger. When they brought out her birthday cake … the entire dining room broke out in song. December of 1957 was the second time we were on the S.S. Constitution. I will NEVER forget leaving New York … band playing and confetti being tossed everywhere. We were moving to Beirut Lebanon. We have photo’s of the Christmas party with Santa on-board. To this day … he looked drunk! I remember that my sister and I kept escaping from the rather strict children’s area and hiding out in second class. My father would order dinner for us since he felt this was a great opportunity to try new and different foods … what 7 year old would order tripe? Well, the food for the most part sat on the plates! We were lucky to be in a position to travel first class … and back then if you were traveling outside of The United States … you took a boat. We were on The S.S. United States, The Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mary and twice on The S.S. Constitution.
