  1. Sailed last week. Here we go, in a nutshell.

Flew in a day early and stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan. Very nice place and about a 10 minute cab ride to the cruise port.

Arrived at port at 11:30 and we were on board at 12:30.

We did purchase drink packages. Beer package for husband and one step up for me. I did get him an occasional rum and coke with my package. We were a port intensive cruise - so I'm hoping we broke even.

In our rooms at 2:00 and luggage was there, waiting on us.

Muster at 5:45 - for us in the Imperial Lounge. We were in Room 1230 on Deck 10.

Dinner on the first night is pushed to 6:30 because of Muster.

We ate dinner in MDR every night except for Tuesday - Giovanni's.

We found the Windjammer to be a great breakfast choice. Also - YUMMY nachos for an afternoon snack.

Getting off the ship on port days - piece of cake.

We booked all excursions on our own - not through RCCL. Best two days were St. Lucia (Joe Knows St. Lucia) and Barbados (Calypso Cruises). These were two days and two excursions I'll remember FOREVER!!!

Disembark - very simple. Tip the porter $10 and he'll take your luggage through the customs/immigration line. We passed up all the long lines and we were through in 10 minutes.

We found the ship to be clean, our stateroom spotless, the food was all we could hope for. No complaints from us!!

  2. I have a few questions from members of our group. We are sailing on the AOS late next week.

Someone posted that the Windjammer Cafe was open 24 hours a day, and yet I thought they stopped serving at 9:00 p.m. Can someone confirm?

As for bars - do they close and reopen at a specific hour?

And for me: how early in the morning can I get a mimosa or a bloody mary? :)
