  1. Good morning (0601 hours local time) from the Royal Princess. We are beginning our fifth (:() out of seven final sea days before the cruise ends. Tonight is our last of three formal nights. I will enjoy getting dressed up in my Tux for the last time. I've been very happy with my rental tux on this cruise. I thing doing the rental thing is the super easy way to go and will save you the grief of having to pack formal night (if you still enjoy doing it as I do).

    Yesterday was fairly uneventful. I finally got Holli out of the cabin early enough to try Sabatini's for breakfast. As expected, she really likes it. She wants to do it again today but I have to wait till 0930. I'll have to grab a few rolls from the IC to stave off starvation. Interesting thing about the IC; when I was getting my coffee a little while ago, I found that they ran out of lids and sleeves for e to go cups. Right now they are double cupping to go orders so they won't be too hot to pick up.

    "Please Don't Flame Me & Remember Food is a very subjective thing." For dinner last night, I ventured to the HC (:eek:). It was Italian night and there seemed to be the expected choices. In my "Subjective and Personal Opinion" I found the HC food to be pretty terrible. The various pizza choices tasted like they had been sitting awhile as they were cold and very chewy. The several pasta choices lacked any real taste whatsoever. There was one dish, a pesto and something bake (sorta like a Lasagna) that I thought was mildly tasty. The desert offerings in the pastry shop were the same items as have been served for the past several days. I keep looking for the "delectable and tasty" creations that Rai talked about in all of the promotional videos prior to the launching of the Royal.

    For the rest of the evening we just hung out. I did venture out on my balcony for awhile but the soot smell kept my visit brief as I only lasted about 15 minutes before I had to leave.

    That's about all for now.

    Hope All Are Well.....:):):)

  2. Ann;

    Haven't really noticed any light changes. Funny thing you mentioned the "Sea Walk." In the hit & miss category, I think it's a big miss for Princess. Much was made about being high off the water and looking down (not out) at the ocean. When you walk on it what you are actually looking down at (98% of the time) is the promenade patios (both sides). This just my personal observation......:):):)

    Bob

    Bob...are you doing the chefs table? How's is your experience in the MDR....?..

    An employee in the Meridian Bay store did tell me they will be getting in more merchandise tomorrow when we are in Barcelona. I'm not holding out much hope the mug situation but I am hoping they will get more magnets as their current supply seems very limited. I'll let you know what I see in the store after tomorrow.....:):):)

    Bob

    Sounds like your having a good cruise. Tell Holli I said hi.

    Thanks for checking on the mugs....sad they don't have the black mugs.

  4. Jackie;

    I'll snag a mug for you. One thing though. They aren't selling the traditional Black mugs with an outline of the ship and the stats painted on it. It is now a white photo mug. Do you still want it?

    Bob[/quoteally]

    Really... Bummer.., liked those black mugs... No that's ok... Hope you are having a good cruise. How's Holli?

  5. Good evening (2309 local time) from the Royal Princess. Getting ready to turn in after a long day. Another long one tomorrow as well. Today I had organized a private tour for Sorrento, The Amalfi Coast, and Positano. The highlight of the day was lunch at La Tagliata. We ate at this wonderful establishment prior in 2011. The 2013 version of our lunch did not disappoint anyone:) Our driver was fantastic When I initially made the reservation I had asked for him. It was so good to have him again. He is the consummate driver/guide.

    In Sorrento we wandered around and picked up a few things. We also sampled some tasty Lemonchello. We also did a little shopping in Positano before we made our way to the restaurant.

    After we got back to the Royal we hung out and just relaxed. Sometime after sail away I tried the "Smoke House" BBQ (Trident Grill) They had different menu items tonight that had a bit more kick to them.

    Tomorrow is Rome and my final private excursion. I'm really excited to finally being on Rome on a day other than a Sunday.

    One last thing. Many of you may have heard this but for those that have not, If yu plan to organize an private excursions do not do any soliciting onboard at the Meet & Greet or any other venue. Princess takes this very seriously and can worst case scenario) kick you off the ship.

    Take Care All.....:):):)

    Bob

    Bob.....can you get me a royal mug... I will pay you or ask Holli please.....

    Thanks, jackie
