Yes I should have known better. After long flight from California and being very tired we were caught off guard. We actually followed signs to taxi area, but we were intercepted along the way by a man who grabbed our bags and said he would take us to a taxi. Other than this blip in our trip, Rome was great. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Take only white taxi at airport for Rome. Was led to area with many black Mercedes and a white Audi. Did not know difference. Got in silver Audi that would not go over 35 mph without shaking violently. Scared to death the whole ride. Was charged more than twice what taxi would have charged. If you are led to silver Audi, grab your bags and insist on white taxi. If you don't you will be ripped off and possibly taken on an unsafe ride.

Thanks for the response. I'll cancel my order and sign up on ship.

Bought wifi package for upcoming cruise. Shows as paid full price in "onboard services". As elite we should be getting it for 50% discounted rate. Will this be automatically adjusted or do we have to get it adjusted onboard?

Thanks for providing correct e-mail address. just sent a msg. (I had thought it was a website). Also thanks for the suggestion about Elequis. I will look into this.

If this is Princess, the email is:

Try that one.

May need to get blood test (INR) while on Island Princess. Can anyone tell me if Princess medical staff on ship can do this and fax it to my doctor. And what would the cost be?
Tried to get this info on Princess chat and after a substantial wait I was given a website to check (guestmedical@chgroup.com) which does not work. They have no direct phone line.

We are on the ship and received written notice of change delivered by cabin steward on Jan 29. Change was made due to "ship congestion in Cabo San Lucas on the scheduled call date". Actually gave us a little more time in Cabo.

No, they didn't discontinue the swap option. What they did do was to get rid of the physical card. The "coffee card" is now simply an electronic entry that is tied to your account. The actual purchases are tracked by your Medallion the same as any other purchase. You are still entitled to the same number of coffee drinks as before but, if you don't use them all during your cruise, the "excess" is lost. With the old card you could keep the card and use it until all the punches were gone. With the new system you lose any drinks you haven't used.
Thanks for the clarification.

I agree ... IF ... all you want to do is swap out the entire mini bar set-up for coffee package(s). and 'maybe' a full swap out for a bottle of wine
I thought that Princess discontinued the mini bar swap for coffee cards a couple years ago. Are they now doing the swap?

Princess accepted my offer to upgrade my cabin (inside to obstructed oceanview). I paid off the additional charges. Is it now possible for me to bid again on a higher category? My cruise leaves in 7 days and there are at least 60 balcony cabins available.

If you can go in late November, there are some great deals on Princess website in the "last minute deals", out of San Francisco and LA.

How much of an obstruction on Regal or Royal E518 balcony? Looks like it might be between life boats. Any pictures?

I checked with Princess and they confirmed that my obc and other benefit (specialty dinner) remain the same as they were at original booking. Nice to see it in black and white though.
Thanks for the input. Still a pretty good deal.

We just took an upsell from inside to balcony on an upcoming cruise. We had been given $75 each obc by Princess for the inside cabin, under the Anniversary sale several months ago. Now that we have paid additional to Princess for the upsell to balcony, would Princess increase our obc to $150 each as was offered under the Anniversary sale that we booked originally under? Our TA thinks not, but just thought we would ask if anyone has had any luck getting their obc increased under these circumstances.

No escape room.
Food was good in dining room. Service at anytime dining was hit or miss. Best staff must be at fixed dining where they have opportunity for extra tips for good service.

OP - We are thinking on taking a cruise on Regal. Can you tell me if there is a central staircase that goes from upper levels to levels 5, 6 and 7?

Thanks for enlightening me. I also had trashed the casino rate e-mail from Princess. Pulled it up and got a $99 per person inside LA to Cabo to LA 5 night. We used credits from Princess to cover the $99 (which were given to us because Island Princess was one day late leaving FLL in December). So, basically free, plus port charges.

cruise with the kids - what cruise are you on that you had the offer on? what did they offer you?
-
OP - was your booking made direct with Princess or travel agent?

We will be flying into FLL on red-eye arriving at 5:30 AM. We would like to rent a car at FLL and drop it off a few hours later near the cruise ship terminal. Can you tell me which rental agencies at FLL allow drop off close to port. We would want a rental agency that provides shuttle service to port.

Question for ccrain
We will have a balcony (BE) cabin on the Promenade deck on Island Princess for the Dec 6 full transit. We received a message from Princess that our balcony would be shut off during canal transit. I have read on cc where some passengers were given some compensation for not having access to the balcony during transit. I heard that some got obc and some got use of sanctuary for the day.
Have you, or anyone else in aft Promenade deck balcony cabin, any current information that could clarify this for me.

Has anyone recently received a move over offer, or are they now a thing of the past with the new upgrade bidding system?
