No assumption. Spouse will get the same tier level as the other spouse. Even if it's the spouses first cruise.

Do I understand correctly that everyone traveling in the same stateroom will receive the benefits of the CC member with the highest status?  I achieved Elite status with my last cruise, and for my upcoming cruise I'm traveling with a friend (not my spouse) who does not have status.  If not individual benefits/coupons like laundry, etc., I assume we would both be invited to the cocktail hour & coffee lounge?  Or that I would receive an invitation for 2?  Thanks for helping me understand this.

  2. We did the Reflection TA Eastbound this past April, and thoroughly enjoyed it.  We have no problem with 7 straight sea days - perfectly relaxing, especially if you aren't already retired.  But this year's TA was to Rome, and next year's Reflection TA in April is to Dublin, I think.  So part of the voyage may be cooler.  Having done both eastbound and westbound, northern and southern routes, my preference is westbound southern, for the 25-hour warm days.  But Reflection is an awesome ship -- you'll have a great time.

With NCL the ‘up charge’ is a gratuities fee that is charged if you choose a beverage package or specialty dining package.  ....  Celebrity does not add extra gratuities to their beverage packages.

Hmmm, maybe Celebrity has changed their policy too?  I see on the website this language: "An 18% service charge will be added to Soda, Wine, Water, Classic and Premium Package prices at checkout." We have the $715.00 premium package include as a perk, so I'm not clear whether we'll expect to see a gratuity added per drink, on the hotel bill, or at all.  Does anyone here know the current policy?  We're going to be on the Eclipse in February.

  4. Mike, this is a late reply to your original post, but it's my understanding that Celebrity only has live-dealt poker on the Reflection and the Silhouette. Does anyone here know differently? I was on the Reflection this spring (2-5NL every evening around 9), and the rake was 10% up to $15 max, which is better than the $25 max on NCL (and I think RCCL also). I'd be interested to know if any other Celebrity ships offer live-dealt poker against other players.

  5. I know this is a really old thread, but I want to provide an update on live poker on Reflection. Was just on the April 2018 transatlantic sailing. Still a $2-$5 NL live-dealer game, and the rake was 10% up to USD $15.

  6. Hi Paul and Edward, we are Larry & Brent, also from Chicago on the Reflection TA this cruise. Just came across this thread, and look forward to crossing paths with you. We agree it's a great ship and are tempted to book it again, possibly for the WB TA in the Fall. Or maybe we'll do the Eclipse WB to Buenos Aires. Love the 7 days at sea, and 4 days of ports sounds like a lot of work! :)

  7. I understand that because Suites passengers have access to Michael's Club, that makes purchasing a beverage package unnecessary (at least for the hours MC is open). But then you're not able to just order a drink at other bars on the ship, right? What about coffee drinks from Cafe al Bacio? I heard that MC has a Nespresso machine, but wasn't sure if they served espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, so I figured we'd go to Cafe al Bacio for our caffeine fix. We'll be on Reflection, and any info is appreciated, thanks!
