  1. Is there a shuttle or any type of transportation on the pier in Barbados?  it seems like a long walk for anyone with medical problems.

    TIA for any help

  2. I need a cane to walk long distances. Can someone please tell me the procedure to board the ship with FTTF using wheelchair assist. Thank you!

Hi The walkway up to ship is long & steep!! Ask for wheelchair assistance when checking in. They will send you to a certain area where someone will take your name, when your turn (only a few wheelchairs in use) someone will push you in on deck one to the elevators. Very easy. DH is on oxygen & can't walk the gangway anymore. This is the way we board now., last time was family cruise on Pride in May. ;)

    Enjoy your cruise.

  3. Agree with the previous poster - don't use plastic bags as they will go mouldy which would be a shame.

Things to buy in Grenada that are unique are our spices, our chocolate and some of our hot sauces :-) We have a fabulous chocolate museum in town that serves coffee and all things chocolate - very yummy:*

How far is the walk from where ship docks? Would like to visit the museum. And of course get some chocolate.;) . Directions??

Got her info from another post and contacted her for our future cruise and she replied back quickly. I contacted her about a private custom tour and she replied back, "The private tour for 3 people is $45.00 per hour (minimum 3 hours), and drinks, such as our signature Bahama mama, are included."

So, not too bad of a price for the three of us - $45 each.

We were not pleased with her. There were 26 of us, we booked both her vans for an afternoon tour. We paid a $100 deposit before our cruise. I confirmed the week before. The day we docked she was 2 hours late & only one van came. Then we had to wait for the other van for about another 1/2 hour. Several of the other drivers & even the security person called her to let her know we were waiting. They said she is always late. One of our group was on oxygen, it was really hot so it made for an very unpleasant day.

  5. To get the free bus, when you come off tender go straight up street in front about 4 blocks to Village Green on right. There will be several buses there. Tell a driver where you want to go, he will show you which bus to take. We took a bus over to visitors center, looked around, got a map, then took a bus to Park. You can hop on & off as much as you want. Usually it is about 20 minutes between buses at the different stops.

The bus is free, but there are tip jars for the driver. ;)

  6. Could someone (SBtS, JJ, njh) post where the ferry from Dockyard docks in St George?

We have heard 2 different places.

Last time we were there we did a taxi tour, this time want to go over on ferry & do some exploring on our own.

    Thanks! ;)

  7. Since there are only 2 of us, I'm looking for an organized tour we can join. I had a link to one but have lost it. I don't want a taxi driver because it won't be cost-effective for us. I've tried our roll call and no one wants to do a tour.

Does anyone know of a tour operator that will allow you to join in on a tour they have organized?

HI We are on your sailing & might be interested in sharing a tour with you.

What were you wanting to see? You can email me, fxychr19@verizon.net,

    Cheryl
