  1. The embarkation is supposed to start at 13:00 as Costa says. What is from Your experience the waiting time? When can we get aboard? We‘re a family with 3 small kids.

Do You have hints for us concerning the ship? What to avoid, what to try?

We‘re experienced cruisers but first time w/Costa. Had heared many differentiated opinions.

What are times @buffet and the corona blu open seating to avoid?

Is there tap water in dispensors available @the buffet ? in what hours?

  2. Dear all,

our oldest daughter will turn 8ys old when we are on the Diadema on the 26th of march. We would like simply to have a small birthday cake and some balloons at the cabin door for her, because we arranged her to have the birthday party after our cruise. The only way how to get it preordered is by booking a package for 30EUR called Kids Cinema Birthday where You get free entrance for 2 for the 4D cinema (which I believe she would rather be afraid of).

Is there another way to get this stuff done, evtl. by speaking with the stateroom steward and handling him over a few euros and arranging it with the maitre d´ - or will it be simply forgotten, because we are 3600 pax onboard....?

  3. Hi,

we started cruising 8 years ago, before we married, got our 1.st, second and third kid, inbetween the 1st and after the second we took several cruises on the mediterranian, as we live in Germany.

Everything was ok until our 3rd kid arrived, because with three kids there is almost NO CHANCE to get a reasonable price for a cruise. Our kids are 6mth, 4y, 6y.

We cruised with MSC and the kids sailed free twice ... we had bad experience on MS Armonia, MS Musica

We loved cruising with NCL though.

BUT my problem is that NCL does not rebate kids very much. When we take a cheap inside we have to take 2 cabins now, that means that even the 2.nd stateroom we would have to pay the full price for person one and two even if these are kids.

I know that Costa and MSC are the cruise lines that offer kids 4 free, but from what I experienced at MSC (Bad food, bad service, bad anim(alic)ation, bad..) and have heared about Costa I see there is no other choice for us but to take 2 staterooms and pay kids 4 full price, or to leave one kid at home.... wouldn´t like to do this...

Do You have Ideas, experiences etc. what to do? RCL is very expensive on their european cruises, HAL also. Carnival does not go to europe, Princess is to expensive...

    what to do?

  4. We had a magnificent tour with rudy at the end of september while staying in Acapulco. We came late into the port and rudy managed to be the first one at the divers and even showed us a better viewing place than the other guys do. Despite the fact that we had only 3 hours instead of 5 he managed to show us all the beautiful secret gems of acapulco and showed us also where the normal and poor guys live. The tour was very impressive and rudy managed to get us back to the ship earlier than other buses from princess shore excursions. The bus he has is really good, everyone of us got a special gift and we had plenty of drinks in the cars´ cooler.

In general: if You are in Acapulco ... go for rudy ! You won´t be sorry about it!
