Thanks for your review. Enjoyed it. We will be on Bliss next Saturday. Do you happen to know who is replacing Jim in the Brewhouse? Also, around what time was the line for self-assist debarkation called? Thanks

Hello- I am wondering what time everyone has been able to get off the ship recently doing self-assist? and how long did it take to get through customs to where the taxi's pick up? TIA

We will be sailing on the Getaway. Thank you for letting me know this.

At this point it’s hard to know what answer to trust. I did ask the rep to go to her manager and confirm the answer.
-
Just called NCL and spoke to another rep who double checked with her manager and was told that the third person in the cabin is NOT included in complimentary thermal suite access. “If we want it, we have to buy the pass.”
-
When I originally booked the cabin it was only for myself and one sister. I asked at the time if I added another person would they get the same access and was told yes. When I added my other sister to the reservation two weeks ago, (the third person) that rep told me that we would have to book the thermal suite separately for the third person.

Reason I’m asking is that it’s $20 less to buy the pass ahead of the cruise, plus I don’t want to risk possibly being sold out. We’re three sisters sailing together on a cruise that looks to be pretty full during spring break.

I’m getting conflicting info from NCL reps. I think it’s only the first 2 ppl in the cabin, but I’ve been told by an NCL agent that all three receive thermal suite access. I think we need to purchase a thermal suite pass for the third person. Thanks for your guidance.

Cabin 15140 has the beds near the balcony. I was in 15142 last year and our beds were near the bathroom. We prefer beds by balcony and have booked 15148 this year. The bedding arrangements alternate every other room. The only difference between a regular balcony room and the spa balcony is in the room color tones for the linens and the Elemis toiletries.

I was on the Escape last week. I have also been on the Getaway and the Epic same time of year during the last three years. Fair disclosure- I do like to have a cigarette every once and awhile when I am drinking. I am not a full time smoker and on this cruise I did bring a pack of cigarettes. I came home with over a half pack left. I smoked outside in the designated area late at night because I thought the smoking area in the casino was stuffy and more smoky than usual. It seemed mostly confined to the casino area on deck 7. I really could not smell it in the Skyline bar though. Always a lot of Canadians at this time of year (personally don't think they smoke more than anyone else) due to it being their spring break. I did smell the lingering's of smoke as soon as we boarded, but it was not overwhelming. I think the level of smoke depends on the night and it's mostly at night, later in the night, that it was bad. More people in the casino smoking on nights when there was no port stop the next day. You have to remember also that we had an extra day at sea due to not stopping in Nassau, so more people in the casino. I was on the ship with my sister and we both thought we would not want to have to walk our kids through that area at night as the smoke was a lot to pass through. I felt that the smoke smell on this particular voyage was more than usual. We actually decided not to dine in Le Bistro because of it, but again that was on a night where there was no port stop the next day and we did not want to chance being seated outside of the restaurant. My sister does not smoke and doesn't like the smell at all. After playing a slot game she complained that her hair smelled of smoke and didn't want to play anymore after that. There are ways to get where you need to go without walking through the casino on the nights the smoke is bad. It's a slight inconvenience to go up and then down a level or visa versa, but it can be done. I think last week was just a bit more smokers than usual, plus the extra sea day didn't help. People were at the casino looking for something to do.

Best I have ever read! Been a member for 7 years and never posted, your review brought me out of my "lurking" status. So much fun, couldn't wait each morning to get up and see what adventures you were going to have for the day. Made my whole week! We leave on 3/12 and I am super excited to ESCAPE!
Would YOU use the thermal spa with these current conditions?

We are in a spa suite in less than two weeks and have some concerns. We will try to go during less crowded times and keep our distance from others. The steam rooms where the air is heavy and doesn’t circulate as much are my main concern. I feel less concerned in the other areas.
