My daughter and I have booked a cruise on Holland America Rotterdam for July. The primary reason we chose this cruise is because we love National Parks and want to visit Glacier Bay. We have so many questions and are looking for any tips of the best way to see the park. Will we be able to talk to the rangers and get our park passport books stamped? What is the best place for viewing? How early do we need to claim a good viewing spot?
I would love to hear about your experiences and your tips.

I have cruised Alaska several times in an inside cabin and had a wonderful time. One huge advantage to me is that with the long days in Alaska, I can sleep better without the daylight coming through the windows. Otherwise, we spend most of our time outside of the cabin so much prefer saving our money for amazing excursions

I would choose for the shows.
I went on the Oasis last year and didn't stay for the 2nd half of Cats. Come Fly With Me, the ice skating show and the aqua show were amazing though..

I am sailing out of Copenhagen on June 9 for an 11 night cruise to Norway. We booked an inside cabin. I made a "strong" bid on a balcony (Minimum was $225. I bid $375). The ship looks sold out now. It looked strange to me because a week ago, there were over 25 balconies available and it sold out overnight. I assume that was a large group.
I'm not holding out much hope for the upgrade and I'm actually very happy with an inside cabin because we only use it to sleep and shower. The Diamond Lounge is next to the Viking Crown Room and I enjoy sitting there during at sea days so have never had a strong need for a balcony, but it would be nice if I get upgraded at a good price.

I booked with them for my June cruise. I can't comment on the tour, but the communication and response has been excellent.

My daughter is currently living in Haiti. I would love to visit with her when our ship stops at Labadee. Does anyone know if Royal Caribbean will either allow me to leave the private beach area or allow her to come inside the gates to visit for a few hours?
