Taller I thought the buffet food on The Breeze was inedible but I still enjoyed my cruise with them. They have so many other food choices it doesn’t matter. I sat down with my husband and we’ve decided on Seaside. Thanks.

We loved the Seaside!!! A lot of people, over 5100. The shows were fabulous and the cruise director has made everything more

American!! Can't wait to go again.

  2. 1) Get an over the door shoe organizer. Great for sandals, sunscreen, sunglasses, S&S cards, sunburn cream, etc. Never lose stuff again!

    2) Pop up hamper that folds flat. Keeps dirty clothes organized.

    3) Small mesh hanging shower caddy. There’s no place to put your on shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, razor, shaving cream etc. Mine hangs from the shower nozzle and keeps it all at my fingertips.

Where did you find a mesh hanging shower caddy?? I have looked and looked for them.

    thanks, Peggy

  3. Well, I have a new one for you!! Ten of us were cruising in May and someone said why don't we do land cruises??? I asked what that was and was told everyone would go to one couples house, then another couples house and so on. So we went to St. Louis in June, they came to our house in July and we went down to the Fl. panhandle to two different houses in Aug. Whoever could go did. We had a blast everywhere we went. Ate supper out every other night so it wouldn't be hard on anyone. Want to book a cabin in the mountains in the early spring and probably do land cruise again next year. Of course, you have to have several couples to do this. We actually all got to together in Pensacola and had another couple join us. We simply had a blast.

  4. This may be a silly question but is the "paperwork" you are referring to the E ticket? Because I wanted to check mine for my May 20th cruise to see if I got free drink tickets but I am not seeing anything in the section under my booking. I cannot access my E ticket yet so I was wondering if that is where it is.

Also, what kind of drinks are these vouchers for?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Yes, the E ticket is where it is on page 4 at the bottom under Your cruise- what is included. See my original post and it will tell you what you can get.. basically anything except premium drinks.

    We leave tomorrow!!!!!!

  5. You do indeed pick them up in the casino. There was a very short line when we went. Make sure you have a copy of the paperwork showing you get them however. When we went we had three rooms. They gave us the drinks for 1 room, the kids coupons (red not blue) but said we didn't have them for the third room. Showed the paper work and magically the third book appeared.

Thanks so much for the info. We are so excited to try the Divina for the first time. We actually got upgraded from interior to balcony for free and now get free drink package. Also are diamond on Carnival so are black card on MSC. Have 4 other couples going, too. We are so excited to get on the ship tomorrow..

    Thanks again!!

  6. I was just looking at our paperwork for the Divina on April 29, 2017. Down near the bottom it says " what is included". Under dining and drinks the last on the list says "Fantastica Drink Package" with 3 stars besides it. Then I looked down at the bottom and it shows 3 stars and says The drink package consists of 12 beverage vouchers in bars, restaurant and buffet and includes wine by the glass, beers, non-premium spirits and cocktails, mineral water and hot drinks.

We can hardly believe that this is free!!

    is this correct??

    Thanks so much.

  7. I have been on 11 Carnival cruises and I had Carnival pick my inside cabin on 3 of those cruises. The first one Carnival upgraded me to an obstructed view window handicap cabin. The next two I got assigned to regular inside cabin in good areas. I have had good results with my experience.

We have good had good luck with guarantees also. I was told one time that they try to put you in the location you normally book.. We just did a B2B on Triump and the second leg was guarantee and they put us several rooms down from the first room.

  8. Our first cruise was on the Fantasy and I hated it. Had I known about the Guarantee, I would have flown home from the first port...

keep in mind that the ship is small and the Gulf is very, very big. Seasickness.

Upgrades are wonderful - but they can't increase the size of the ship nor control the waves on the Gulf.

Because of posters here, I knew there just had to be more to cruising than that experience...and now I know there is! No Fantasy-class ship ever again for me.

Kind of funny.. Fantasy class is our favorite!!

  9. Absolutely!! I just did this a couple of week ago. They will not charge it to your S&S account, but I just saved out a few gift cards that I ear-marked just for that purpose and used them without any trouble at all.

Thank you so much. Want to use some in a couple weeks to book a cruise.

  10. I am lucky enough to be sailing on the Carnival Breeze 8 nights 10/24, and 6 nights 11/1, total of 14 nights.

Now I searched back on cruise critic and found out that some past shareholders (in 2013) have been able to get the $250 total credit for 14 days doing a back to back vs getting the $100 for the 8 day and $50 for the 6 day cruise.

I am greedy!! and would like to get the $250 for the 14 days. Anyone have any recent experience with getting this onboard credit for a back to back?? if so who did you call to make that happen.

    Thanks

    Chris

Please let us know what you find out as we are doing a B2B 11days and 10 days in April. I'd love $250, instead of $200.

    Thanks

  11. Well, everyone has their own opinions and that is great. Our favorite ship is the Elation ( fantasy class). We did the Pride repo from Tampa to Baltimore this past spring and we loved the Pride. Would definitely be our favorite ship if it was near us, but it is not. We have sailed the Dream 3 times and we do not like it. Too big for us. Seating around the atrium is uncomfortable. The leather seats are not deep enough and slant down. We feel like we are going to fall off the seat. That being said if someone close to us wanted to go we probably would.
