We are headed to Ocho Rios in February 2018. Can someone tell me what the cost is to rent beach chairs and umbrella's. Also is there WiFi? Thank you

We are doing the Superbowl cruise on the Vista ...B2B with the week before it :cool:

I was just on the Anthem and got off the ship yesterday. I also spent an hour on the bridge tour seeing the entire bridge. There is no possible way they didn't know a storm this bad was coming or at least half as bad - they have an entire room devoted to tracking the weather with 4 giant monitors and 3 computers that's right next to the main bridge.

 

And judging by the corners they cut on our cruise, the captain, heavily pressured by the execs at Royal Caribbean, probably pushed for the ship to get through it to "stay on the timeline"...

 

I know it sounds harsh but I really believe going through the storm was a severe judgement error on RC's part. Either that or they were taking a gamble getting through it, hoping that it wouldn't be as bad as it could be.

Well I know the captain sounded terrified on the intercom (several people have it on tape) and at least 2 people suffered heart attacks so you can tell their families that the capital didn't know (with all the aide of the electronics on board this $1.2 Billion dollar ship). The captain warned us of bad weather yesterday during the life boat drill as we were leaving NY. So yes he knew and took a calculated risk with our lives.

So what ship have either of you two been in charge of that you seem to know the captain is wrong? Unless you are in his shoes, you really cannot know what he should/shouldn't have done....

I am REALLY missing all my Freedom Friends....can we go back onboard now....PLEEEEEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

well...now we are all back to reality :(

So enjoyed this cruise and all the wonderful people on it!! So great to reconnect with old friends and make some new friends as well.

I had a blast, as I am sure most of you know by my antics. That's who I am and if I have offended anyone, then that's just to bad. Life is short and I intend on living it to the fullest !!

Each cabin has a deck of cards and as the crawlers arrive they pick a card and then host cabin writes down their pick on the scorecard.

The host cabin can also participate, and sometimes they decorate or offer up some refreshments of some sort...maybe something from their hometown.

At the end,we tally up the scorecards and find the winning hands.

There will be 1st place,70%, 2nd place,20% and 3rd place 10%...also a

"boobie" prize for the worst hand ;0)

Well...it finally worked!!! I have my papers in my hot little hands !!!

It could be your browser. Try using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, I had the same trouble a few years ago using IE.

Also, does anybody know if Spring hill has a shuttle from the airport? How bout to the port?

They have both and are complimentary !!

For those of us going to the Ale House pre-cruise Feb. 7th, and staying at the Springhill Hotel, I contacted the shuttle service at Springhill and told them we needed transportation to the Dinner. They said it would be $5 pp. I forgot to ask if that was for round trip or just one way. I said as of today what I could see from the posting that our group was at 12 people so far. Truegrit

Most likely 1 way...just walk there and back...only 10 min walk and nice to get the fresh air..or shuttle back if 1 too many drinks ;)

Breezes in Nassau ..http://www.breezes.com/resorts/breezes-bahamas# they gave us, thanks to juli, a discounted rate of $40 pp since we will have a limited time there. A normal day pass ($65) allows you in from 10am to 6pm. This is what is included...

Our super- inclusive rates include:

• breakfast & lunch in a tropical terrace buffet setting

• beach grill

• pool bar & lobby bar – serving premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

• several fresh water pools that all flow into one another, towels

• misting pool and jaccuzi

• kayaks, windsurfing, & sailing, all with instruction

#10 jitney to breezes. It is $1.25 pp. You need exact change. It takes about 15 minutes to get there & the bus makes stops along the way. The bus stop is right across from breezes.

You can also take a cab. It seems like it was about $5 pp for a group of four. We will have to take a cab back because the jitney stops running at 5pm I think. Space is limited to 30, but they might allow a few beyond that since we are technically a group Here is the list so far.....

For those that aren't sure what is involved, here is an explanation

Each cabin has a deck of cards and as the crawlers arrive they pick a card and then host cabin writes down their pick on the scorecard.

The host cabin can also participate, and sometimes they decorate or offer up some refreshments of some sort...maybe something from their hometown.

At the end,we tally up the scorecards and find the winning hands.

There will be 1st place,70%, 2nd place,20% and 3rd place 10%...also a

"boobie" prize for the worst hand ;0)

Also if you would like to crawl without offering your room, then please let me know, so I have an idea of how many scorecards/cheat sheets to make up. Now don't be shy, because anyone can play even if you don't know how...that's what the cheat sheets are for !!!!!!

children under 12 are half price.

Breezes in Nassau ..http://www.breezes.com/resorts/breezes-bahamas# they gave us, thanks to juli, a discounted rate of $40 pp since we will have a limited time there. A normal day pass ($65) allows you in from 10am to 6pm. This is what is included...

#10 jitney to breezes. It is $1.25 pp. You need exact change. It takes about 15 minutes to get there & the bus makes stops along the way. The bus stop is right across from breezes.

You can also take a cab. It seems like it was about $5 pp for a group of four. We will have to take a cab back because the jitney stops running at 5pm I think. Space is limited to 30, but they might allow a few beyond that since we are technically a group :) Here is the list so far.....
