  1. ROFL, you are clueless. Food standards are very strict even more so on ships with the possible spread of norovirus. All food are labeled, dated and discarded. If they got caught doing as your accusing them the inspectors would shut them down or receive hefty fines or both.

Expiration dates must be checked before each cruise. I can tell you that chance of left over eggs even making it to the expiration date is slim to none, all stock are used based on the dates they came on board or expiration.

Any eggs that has been previous deshelled have a very short life hours not days.

Wrong!! I have found expired milk, juice boxes, even moldy cheese on buffets.

Most of this food is mass produced and we had the same menu everyday on our last ship.

  2. So- yes itinerary was changed by NCL on the last paperwork but then we did not go to the Tracy Arm- Saywer Glacier and stayed on the original route. So confusing to plan for photos and events in one area and not know where your ship will end up!! Does this happen a lot with Alaska cruises? Also, congrats to Caroline was that won the Bingo- sadly not mine! lol

  3. If you go on your own, I wouldn't use ships transport anyway-there's nothing worse than being herded onto a bus with 60 other people, waiting for stragglers before the bus will leave and being on their schedule coming back. There's a train station near the port (Naples) we walked to. The train has a stop at Pompeii, so we did that and had plenty of time. Can't speak to the lines-we went in September, so it wasn't as crowded when we got there.

Best thing about this for us- we had time for lunch at an outdoor pizzeria before going back to the train and still missed the crowds! :)

  4. We will be on the June 10th cruise with you. My husband, me and daughter and 2 grandsons. We are having a hard time knowing what to pack. I know my grandsons will be in the pool not matter what the temperature. Cannot wait! We have not heard anything yet on upgrades yet.

We'll also be there- just bringing layers, tshirt to parka. Hope to see ya soon:D

  5. We are doing a cruise next year from Barcelona to Barcelona. The port before our return to Barcelona is Marseilles. We would like to disembark there instead of returning to Barcelona and fly home from Marseilles. I know that I couldn't do this when the cruise starts and ends from a US port (Jones act?). When I asked the cruise rep.,she said your not supposed to do this but none would stop us from getting off with our luggage.

Has anyone done this on a Med . cruise? Did you inform the cruise line before getting off? I've seen this on MSC and Costa on Med cruises in the past .We will be on Carnival for this cruise. I am afraid to book our flight home from Marseilles and then not be allowed to disembark!

    TIA for any information!

YES ! We did this exact thing and took train to Paris- 5 hours- for extended 3 days then flew home from there. Just notify the Cruise line before you Board, then you have to carry off all your luggage, give back your sea cards and show passports at pier, there is a taxi booth or you can book a car service ahead to pick you up. In Marseilles don't miss the View Port- great bay area for shopping, restaurants and a McDonalds- lol :D

  6. Best service ever- Romeinlimo.com ! 6 pax in a mercedes van went VIP to all best sites, tickets included, great info from driver- Antonio, also stopped for lunch at great panini place. Can book a private tour of the Vatican also-saves time getting thru the crowds- our guide was actually an American Art student. Only take euros for payment so bring full amount with you or get an exchange onboard ship. :D
