  1. Hi does anyone how much a spa pass is for a week for a couple, we are looking at sailing on Meravilglia at end of august and i think last time it was about 250 eur for the week. any help would be useful as we still have not booked, Waiting to see what flight restrictions there are going to be closer to the time.

Does anyone know if they are allowing or will allow independent shore excusions this summer in the med. Can you get off the ship and have a mooch around the port on your own or do you still need to be in an official MSC excursion.  This is the deciding factor for us, as we love exploring ports of call and help support the local businesses.  Factoring official excursion will push the cruise out of our budget 😔

  3. Yes you can buy a thermal spa pass for the week, my wife and I had one for our cruise in 2019, it was about 150 Eur per couple (i think) you can book it through your MSC cruise page , when you log into your account and go to "plan my cruise" . I'm not sure if they do it anymore what with Corona or what price. We had booked (2020) Aurea this time so spa access is included, but it looks like its going to be rescheduled again until 2022 as Palma de Mallorca (where i live) are still not allowing cruise ships into port, so unless i can swim to the boat, i wont be getting on.....lol

  4. I have a cruise booked on Seaview at the end of August departing from Palma de Mallorca (where i live) what happens if they change the departure port to say Barcelona ( as Palma de mallorca are still not allowing cruise ships to visit) Who pays for the flights to barcelona, or is this good enough reason to cancel the cruise with a full refund. I don't fancy having to fork out another 600Eur and go through the hassle of airports. This cruise has already been pushed back a year due to covid.

Anybody had experience of this ?

Just a note that Palma de Mallorca is one of the ports on the itinery, so they would also have to make a change to this too for all the other passengers.

  5. Hi all, hope your keeping safe and well. All waiting with bated breath for the cruise lines to start again. I have been looking at booking Aurea next year , all i can find is a balcony with Aurea experience, i cannot see any Suites with Aurea ? also is there an age limit for access to the aurea sundeck as i will be travelling with 2 teens, 14 and 17,  thanks in advance

    • We sailed on Seaview last year and had the couples week spa pass and was worth every penny. Like you said just to get away and relax was fantastic. Our itinerary had no sea days but the days that we had a late docking (1pm in Palma de mallorca) it was never busy, and on port days there was usually about 6 of us in there 🙂

  6. Hi all, hope you are having a good holiday. Can anyone help, i am looking at booking seaview cabin 12145, but cannot tell off the deck plan what the spaces opposite  the door are , maybe cleaning or linen storage. Just wondered if anyone had stayed in this cabin and could shed any light on it especially in regards of stewards bumping and banging these doors.

  7. Just back from MSC Seaview, wow fantastic am now an MSC convert, Have tried many other cruise lines but this was the first i could say yes we want to go back on again next year. But this is not my question, When we booked this cruise, MSC ran a drinks offer thrown in as an incentive (premium drinks package for free) at the moment they are doing gratuities included. I wanted to ask all you seasoned MSC'ers do they run this promo every year or was this a one off? I know from experience when other cruise lines run their "special offers" but being new to MSC i was unsure. Any info would be much appreciated, Already saving my pennies for next year. I must get around to writing a review, lots of negative posts going around so i want to set the record straight 🙂 Happy cruising all.

I'm interested in this question, too, as we will have a bunkbed cabin on Seaside in a few months.  Somewhere on CC, I seem to recall seeing a photo of a cabin that had a metal double bunk beyond the regular bed, and closer to the balcony.  There are only two of us, but it is coded as a 4-person cabin.  It seems like the bunk will take up a lot of room -- but maybe a handy place to stow our luggage and stuff!

The bunk bed is inside the sofa, if there are just the two of you in the cabin then it will stay a sofa, but if 4 they will open it up.  Just off of seaview on saturday with our two boys 15,12 and found this room to be the best for bed arrangement on any ship we have been on NCL,RCI, Carnival,TUI. The bunk was next to balcony but still gave full access even when up .

bowling is 40 euros a go but is only from around 4pm or at least it was on seaside and it gets booked up quickly the 4d movies are as explained 4 shooting  games in 4d f1 is 10 euros a go there are a couple of arcade games that it can be used for on the seaside at least air hockey is not covered nor are the claw type games

Just got off seaview, and bowling was 30 eur for 30 mins or 55 eur for 1 hour , only bookable on that day, but you could book for later on that day. we went at 4  (openind time) and booked for 9:30 that night, no problem. Definitely need to book this as always busy. F1 usually a couple of people all the time waiting to have a go. You get 5 mins or 3 laps which ever is shorter, don't worry no one i saw did the 3 laps in under 5 mins......lol. We went on the 4d only once , thought it was a bit rubbish, family of 4, 36 eur for 5 mins, IMO not really worth it. The only thing not covered by the fun pass was the prize games, grabber and claw. The arcade machines AND the air hockey is covered by the pass. Just put fun pass on one card and use that for everyone (even if they are not in your room ;) )

We used all our fun pass and a bit more, as we went bowling twice, and eldest wanted a "good lap time" on the F1

    Hope this helps

  10. The $158 per person sounds correct, we booked ours and it was £82 (with a discount) and it went through on our booking as £164 in total, so your total to cart should be $316, did you try adding it thought the MSC for me app ? that also allows you to add items to your cruise. If it does add it twice you can always cancel one of them. Hope this helps.

  11. Thats what i read to mean as well, if they are in the kids club , parents are allowed off.

When we did this before with another cruise line we were given a pager by the kids club rep so we could be contacted in case of emergency.

It doesn't matter as we won't see them on the ship anyway, as they will be off exploring on their own as they are allowed to come and go as they please in the teens club.

Oh well only 82 days to go.

  12. So no one knows really, doesn't matter was just curious. As when we took our boys on a previous cruise (this one will be our 9th) when the boys were in the kids club we could get off, as they were not allowed out unless we signed them out, thats probably what covered the "supervised"

The 15 yr old will just have to whinge about looking around the shops (nothing new there then....lol)

  13. They 12 yr old is never a problem, once on the ship we can never get him out of the kids club, but the 15 yr old.........well we all know what 15yr old boys are like......lol

He will just park himself on our balcony and venture out on frequent trips to the buffet/bar inbetween playing on his laptop/phone/switch.

We only get off for an hour or so, save dragging them (unwillingly) around the shops

  14. Tried to find the answer to this but failing miserably. If i get off the ship to have a mooch around the port, do my children (15, 12) have to get off with me or can they stay on the ship. We have been with many different cruise lines and some allow them to stay on and others say they cannot be left on unsupervised. Does anyone know MSC policy or had first hand experience of this.

  15. We live in Mallorca, if you want to book through UK site you need a UK address, but don't worry as its just for a reference on their system. You get all your documents online. Luckily we have parents still in the uk so we use their address. Do you have any friends in UK ? But surely if your USA you could book through US site and get price drop stuff (sorry dont know right name...lol) Uk is not elegible for this.

  17. We are looking at booking MSC for this summer, we have 2 boys, 15 and 12. On all our other cruises before they have had bunks, but looking at the balcony staterooms they have a convertible sofa bed. My question is how much of an obstruction is this to use the balcony, does it get put away every morning and then setup again each night. If anyone has any pics of this setup they would be highly welcome. Any info on this ship for teens would be helpful too. Been looking at seaview and bellisima for the same week, but come in at over £1,500 more , thats a lot of ice creams !!!!! lol

  18. No extra charge, that is what the spa pass includes.

I knew that for the way I like to cruise there's just no way I can do anything below Aurea. Unlimited drinks and freely selecting my dining time are essential, for me.

so do you still have to pay the 15% service charge on the unlimited drinks package ?
