  1. Yea drive and park is not an option - it would be for us, but not the rest. I will look into splitting... didn't think of that. The majority of them live in Ringwood (7 passengers), so we were going to make them drive to meet us in Hawthorne since we are closer to civilization. I will price 2 cabs, and also I did think of UberXL. I haven't used Uber yet so i wasn't sure how it worked. I know everyone loves it though!

  2. Hi folks - from Northern NJ and sailing out on Anthem for Thanksgiving 2016. Looking to not have to spend a mortgage payment for transportation. We have 9 people, and probably a good amount of luggage (7 women and 2 men if that says anything about the quantity of our luggage - LOL). Most likely, we'd be leaving from Hawthorne, NJ. Looking for recommendations! Would not be opposed to a RECOMMENDED independent service, UberXL, or even renting a van so a friend could drive us. Any suggestions?

  3. I've done this excursion three times, once with Carnival, twice with RCCL, and I think it's worth it. I don't think the beaches you could get to on your own would be as nice, plus you get lunch without having to go back to the ship, and 2 drinks. I believe that RCCL has preference over Carnival b/c we seemed to get the better chairs both times, and I didn't with Carnival.

The other excursion that's great is the Orient Beach one. The tour guide was great, you get cushioned chairs and lunch, and the beach is beautiful. The only problem with lunch is that it's too early and my friend and I were still full from breakfast! :)

  4. Sailed with Becky last year on the Mariner... Quest was HILARIOUS, albeit NOT for children. I think a lot of it has to do with the people that are chosen. Some people are just very bold by nature and don't know where to quit. In our quest, we had some guy that really loved being in his underwear and never put his pants on again for the game. One guy was strutting around int tightie whities and black socks. I think the women were in their bras but thats about it. One guy, when the men were asked to take of their pants, whispered in Becky's ear that he had no underwear on - she told him to leave his pants on.

I would never bring kids to that show..... but I hope that perhaps that was a one time lapse in judgement on Becky's part because I found her to be the best CD I had on any of the cruises I've been on.
