  1. When would carnival notify passengers on those sailings if a port is being skipped, substituted or still a go? I'm cruising later in hurricane season and I've been wondering this...

Depends on the circumstances. They notify as soon as they know. Sometimes that means while onboard through an intercom announcement. Sometimes in advance if they know an area has been hit hard and not allowing incoming traffic. They tell passengers when they know.

  2. Do they have detergent, etc available and if so is it part of the charge or do you have to buy it separately? I hope to be able to not do laundry on the ship, but with kids and they way they can go through clothes, I might have to do a load.

I brought tide pods last time and they were wonderful for traveling!

  3. I say manicure if her nails are not done. Then they will be pretty for any pictures of the ring on her finger. If she gets mani pedi before hand when you get to room suggest she unpack while you go and get some snacks/drinks. Just mention it's a little chaotic on lido on embarkatiin day so you'll bring food back to the room so you can unpack and have a snack before muster drill. Just don't forget to come back with food after talking to the manager. ....

  4. Thank you for the responses. I appreciate it. We are traveling for the first time. First vacation, first cruise and taking our kids. Trying to find the safest, family appropriate things to do without breaking the bank doing it.

  5. Someone else on facebook said they just got off of Fascination last week and was told that Seuss was coming during dry dock. I asked our PVP yesteday and he said it just says coming soon on his screen but he would check into it further. I will let you know what I find out. I would almost guess it comes out during dry dock because it is set to get it by the end of 2015 so during dry docket would seem like a good time to implement something new right? I hope! Because we sail in May.

  6. We are leaving from the Jacksonville port in May. What are some good hotels to check into that do the shuttle to and from port? I know I could do a google search for this but figured some personal recommendations would help me a little more than google. Thanks

  7. I recommend a five day cruise out of Jacksonville on the Fascination. It has the Waterworks slides, Hasbro Game Show and mini golf. It also goes to Half Moon Cay and has cruises that leave on Monday. I like the smaller size of the ship because it is easier to find everything and less crowded.

I would go ahead and get a passport as soon as possible.

Thank you for the suggestion. that is one that I was leaning towards. My sister told me about the chance of change of itinerary because of tendering. She mentioned it because of Grand Cayman (another place we looked at) is a tender location. Is there somewhere you can look on carnivals site that tells you whether each place is a tender location or dock. I tried looking but might be over looking it.
