We are flying to Amsterdam from Florida and will arrive the early morning the day before the cruise departs. There is no problem bringing a COVID test result with us in regards to the 3 day window. When our cruise returns to Amsterdam in 11 days, we will be deboarding and will not fly back to the US until 3pm the next day . So we will have only one night in a hotel there.I understand at this time, to fly back into the United States you have to have a negative test within three days before entering US.Will RCCL have a means of providing international flight persons Covid tests on the ship before we get off that will produce results before we fly home the next day? Rules seem to be changing every day!  We are vaccinated.

We too used TJ Travel in Oslo, Berlin,Tallinn, St. Petersburg, and Stockholm. This company is extremely organized, no detail unturned. The guides are very knowledgeable and do a great job "herding" their flock. The use of headphones worked well in hearing our guide in noisy areas as well as in keeping us together. St. Petersburg was the most AWESOME of all the tours. We also had Elena as our guide and she was the greatest. Ask for Boris in Berlin too. You can't go wrong booking with TJ Travel.

We also were on a larger bus which had a restroom, and it does make a stop at the rest area. If you are on a smaller van they will stop at the nice rest area with a McDonalds, small gift shop area and restrooms. However you need half a euro coin to enter so be prepared They will make change for you but best to have change ahead of time.

Was wondering if anyone had been in Copenhagen recently and if they were able to use a chip and signature credit card to pay for their taxi fare? Will only be in town overnight and wanted to avoid making an ATM withdrawal just to cover our taxi from the hotel to Oceankaj especially since it would not be a definitive amount.

 

Do the taxis really ONLY accept chip and pin cards?

you will need a chip card and they will ask you to sign instead of using a pin #. Cab fare from the airport in Copenhagen to Oceankaj is about $66 USD. From Central Station to Oceankaj is about $33 USD. If you wanted to save, you could catch the train from the airport to Central Station and catch a cab from there. Of course it depends on how many in your party. Enjoy your cruise - we did. Also you don't tip cabs in Copenhagen. We used our chip card in all ports. Had very little currency from the country we were traveling in.

I believe that there are 2 - the first being on the sea day between Oslo and Berlin. The second I think is the night we leave Helsinki.
