  1. I have just received the following email :-

    Dear Azamara Guest,

We hope that you have remained healthy and safe. Since suspending our cruise operations in March 2020, we've been working diligently to develop new protocols and procedures, schedule new itineraries and adjust our plans to welcome you back onboard. Today we announced that as part of our return to service plan, we will require all guests and crew to be fully vaccinated to be able to sail.

While we do see cruising is slowly starting up again, there is still uncertainty surrounding the resumption of cruise operations globally. However, several ports and regions are starting to welcome travelers back and encourage cruising. We've been approved to resume sailing again at the end of August 2021, with a series of new Greece Intensive voyages aboard the Azamara Quest. As a result, we need to cancel all current Quest sailings departing on or before October 2nd, 2021.

Unfortunately, as travel requirements throughout most of Europe remain unconfirmed, we've had to make the difficult decision to cancel the following voyages as well:

    • Azamara Journey sailings departing on July 16, 2021 through September 29, 2021
    • Azamara Pursuit sailings departing on July 10, 2021 through September 14, 2021

Our ships will be back in operation as per below:

    • Azamara Quest®: August 28, 2021.
Azamara Quest will start the Europe season with a series of new Greece Intensive voyages sailing roundtrip from Athens (Piraeus), Greece.

    • Azamara Journey®: October 13, 2021.
Azamara Journey will start the late Europe season with her originally scheduled 12-night Greece Intensive voyage from Athens (Piraeus), Greece.

    • Azamara Pursuit®: September 28, 2021.
Azamara Pursuit will start the Europe season with her originally scheduled 11-night Greece Intensive voyage from Athens (Piraeus), Greece to Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy.

If you are ready to sail again soon, you may want to take a peek at our new series of 7-night Greece Intensive voyages onboard Azamara Quest in August-September of 2021. We are still finalizing those itineraries, but we expect them to be available on Azamara.com as of May 11th. Truly, there's no other country quite like Greece, and it's yours to discover on these voyages.

We hope to see you back some time in 2021. But we have plenty of options later, as well. Our Europe 2022 - Spring 2023 Onward deployment will be announced soon, with adventures awaiting all around the globe.

While all of us wish we were cruising, we have three options to compensate you for these cancellations.

Whilst not so good news for passengers hoping to sail between today and these new dates, including myself, at least it puts a line under the endless speculation.

  2. Some help please, sorry if these points are already covered elsewhere.

    As per Azamara website -

If you’re scheduled to sail with us before 11 June, you will receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit to rebook with us
by 31 December 2021 for any sailing through 30 April 2022.
This amount will be based on your total cruise fare paid. And, we’re giving you a little extra, knowing that this

    is such a unique circumstance.

I have just had notification of a cancelation of a late May 2020 cruise. Trying to calculate my entitlement to make future cruise decisions, i.e. is it best to take a 100% refund, or a FCC, through a combination of Azamara direct and my TA, the FCC offered to myself is clearly 125% of cruise fare, minus any taxes and fees. Whereas I expected to be offered the 25% uplift on the cruise fare, plus 100% refund of taxes and fees, or perhaps even 125% of total cruise fare paid, which in my simple mind, is all the money I paid to Azamara for this cruise, my total invoice value. The %'s will change on every calculation depending on the amount of taxes and fees, but in my case the FCC represented a 16.6% uplift on total invoice value and not the 125% FCC widely advertised. Is that the experience of anybody else?

    A second point -

    As per Celebrity website -

Can you use your Future Cruise Credit (FCC) on an existing booking?

Yes. FCCs can be applied to an existing booking.

Having searched the Azamara site and also on advice from my TA, it seems that Azamara are only allowing FCC to be used against new bookings. I have another Azamara cruise booked later this year and would like to use the FCC received as part payment. Celebrity are allowing this to happen, are Azamara?

  3. I am booked on this cruise and as of today, not happy. Originally booked to give an opportunity to see a World Cup game and fully expected Azamara to operate an excursion to see the game in St Petersburg on 3rd July. Similar to other "event based" ports of call, Rio/Carnival, Monaco/F1 Grand Prix, various UK Ports/British Open golf. It is now at a very late stage to buy tickets, having had an update on this Board from Bonnie on 29th December, explaining the logistics, read by myself today whilst looking for a thread on cancelled excursions. I could have attempted to buy tickets many months ago, but refrained, all the while expecting an announcement from Azamara. Although to be perfectly fair, at no time did Azamara suggest game attendance was possible, purely what I now consider to be something of a misleading voyage description. Fine, call it a "World Cup" voyage, but make it clear from the start that guests must make their own arrangements to buy tickets and obtain visas.

Recently I found an excursion booked for Bruges had been refunded with NO covering email. After some time, I traced the amount from Royal Caribbean on my credit card statement, back to the original excursion payment. A week ago I rebooked another Bruges excursion from a choice, from memory, of 6 or 8 alternatives. Today I receive an email telling me that has also been cancelled. Online there are now only two alternatives.

A further email received today tells me that an excursion booked for Amsterdam has been cancelled. Online there are now ZERO excursions for this port, previously a reasonable list, although the port still shows on the itinerary. Due to past history I tend to use Azamara excursions & have always been very happy with their delivery, rather than use local guides.

Overall a somewhat strange set of circumstances. Can anyone shed light on this situation? Please....

  4. I have been trying to book excursions for at least the last 3 days, all to no avail, despite using different browsers, different Pc's and varying my credit/debit cards. I pick the excursion, move to payment page, complete all the details, card number, address etc. & system falls over when I try to pay. I have written to Azamara, but no reply to date. I would have thought that if this is a general, universal problem, they might have noted the lack of new excursion bookings!
