In this case your sister is correct...the balcony offer is a much better deal.

Unfortunately you need to pay for drinks (and water), but you'll come out ahead with what you booked 🙂

    Thanks!🙂

My sister booked the cabin, I just asked her..she said that if we booked a Fantastica balcony upgrade. She thought it was the better offer for us.

    We are sailing October 9th

You should call your TA and get this changed. Otherwise with Fantastica you won't get free water in your room.

What is the exact date and sailing?

    This is the deal:

The rules vary based on where you are sailing from (US or Europe), where you booked (US or Europe) and the level (Bella, Fantasica, etc.)

If you are US and sailing from US I believe the answer is no.

If you are US and sailing from Europe you get bottled water at dinner I believe.

That being said, right now MSC has a WiFi and drinks special...you said you just booked...you didn't get that deal?

No, it wasn't offered. We booked out of Miami for October.  We booked Fantastica.

  5. Hi, we just booked with MSC for the first time. We always booked Carnival in the past. We found out that you can't bring drinks or wine on board.  Does anyone know if they have complimentary bottled water in the cabins?

    Thank you!

  6. No, but we heard the same about the port. We live 2 hrs away, and always fly to Florida for our cruises in order to sail to the more exotic locations.

The airfares are pricey my kids, who have to buy tickets for for their families. We thought we would like to try sailing from Baltimore, but leaving from Baltimore,  you are limited in the ports that you get to visit. We enjoy the Southern itineraries best. That's why we thought we would try and get info on a BTB cruise.

I really liked Mambo beach when we went on the Horizon last summer.  It's by the Seaquarium...lots of shops, restaurants, and bars in that area, along with free Wifi.  Chairs and cabanas to rent with plenty of shade.  They have a man-made lagoon that provides calm water in front of the beach and it's filled with fish for some very nice snorkelling and lots of people swim out to the rocks/breakwater to jump off.  Had a great time there, something for everyone...I'd check out some youtube vids to see if its appealing.  We took a taxi from the pier, no need to prebook reservations...tons of cruise passengers go there.

    Thank you!

  8. Hi! We are sailing on the Horizon in April., we have yet to book anything for Curacao.  We want to find a nice beach to visit...can anyone recommend one, and how far of a drive from the cruise port? Do u get there by bus or taxi, or do u book with an independent tour guide

    Thank you

Decks 5, 6, 7 and 8 have large balconies but they are all aft. The corner balconies are on the port and starboard sides and they are the larger balconies. The aft facing balconies are larger than the port and starboard balconies.

    Thank you!!

Several questions what day do you sail? I see you are flying in Friday and from where are you sailing out of? Fridays are usually higher in price(in my experience) than Saturday.

We're sailing the 18th, but flying down the 17th for a pre cruise reunion with family and friends.  There are a group of us going from all over. Very excited to see everyone!

Ah, yes. I get it. I have little kids and one time we purchased airline tickets departing at 3:00am out of San Juan (several airlines operate flights at odd hours from there). But they were the cheapest flights I could find. Long story short, NEVER AGAIN, at least with small children. The kids were miserable, which in turn made my wife miserable, which in turn made me miserable.

We got home and we had to go straight to sleep. Then we couldn’t sleep that night because we’d slept all day. 🤯 Taking those flights had a worst effect on my body than flying across the Atlantic and crossing 6 time zones.

    Haha!

Not the best flight times, but I found $281 round trip for those dates. That sounds very reasonable.

Those are great prices, but we have young grandchildren flying. They would be miserable .

Yes we did. We're going to wait till Tuesday and see what the fares are.

    Thanks!

We checked today, they are cheaper,  but they say Tuesdays are the best deals, so we'll see.
