We have been looking at tours with Rome In Limo for our B2B cruises next year.  The question I have is concerning payment.  I understand that they want cash (euros) at time of tour.  How do you all handle carrying that much cash around especially if you are planning on several tours with them in multiple locations?  I understand that most would say to stop at an ATM but I'm concerned about finding ATMs that are convenient to our locations and having to find one every day to pay for our tours or getting enough euros to pay for all tours and having to carry it around.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.  😃

We purchase euros from our bank before leaving home and I prepare an envelope for each tour day including tour info, tour amount, tip and a little extra cash. Once on board, all the envelopes go into the safe and we only take the one with us for that day. No worries about finding an atm or walking around with a lot of cash - just enjoy the tour. This has worked well for us - hope it helps!

  2. Tried searching but didn’t see anything on this topic, so please forgive me if it’s been answered too many times!

We booked Harmony just recently and only a few shows were available to book online. Last time we sailed her, we were able to book as soon as we embarked in one of the lounges I believe and the availability (along with show days) was totally different.

Is this still an option? What’s our best option at this point?

  3. We were in cabin 8154 this past April (not one of the large balcony cabins) and I would definitely warn anyone against this cabin or any close by. Being just steps from the Brewhouse was one of the only positive things I can say about it😕

There was really no way of knowing when we booked that it is situated directly above the shuffleboard court and was noisy most of the day. We also heard booming theatre noise on at least four evenings.

Farther down (I'd say maybe 8144 and forward) should be far enough away from shuffleboard. Not sure how they don't get the theatre noise though!

  4. We have one booked for late Sept. with Provence-connection-tours.com

95€ per person and it's a tour share (they fill the group) They require payment in advance, but you can cancel up to 2 days prior for full refund. Many good reviews - the only thing it doesn't have that we wanted is a boat trip through the Callanques

  5. I've done a long day by day review on the main NCL boards entitled cruising from Venice with walking difficulties where have reviewed private tours for all ports.

Santorini is day 4 with details of cost and itinery-well recommended Santorini taxi tours with Kostas S -also well reviewed on trip advisor

Just started reading your blog - so entertaining and informative! Thank you!

  6. We have finally decided on the ship tour also, and although I don't like the idea of a large bus (if it is that) I like the fact that the tour leaves at 2:00 so we would be off the ship quickly.

We are on the Jade Oct. 4 departure and this is the port I have gone back & forth on. Driving is not an option and we don't want to take the chance of the "speedboat" not being full and cancelling.

Santos Winery and Oia are our "must sees" and we would DIY but not sure if the bus goes to the winery? So thinking we would just take a bus back to Fira on our own if we want to stay longer. Now I'm wondering if the winery that NCL visits is the Santos?
