In the middle of a B2B on Paradise now. Food quality is okay to good. Nothing that will blow your mind though, with the exception of Chef's Table (which I highly recommend). Buffet has been better than the dining room (which has been very inconsistent plate to plate), but go-tos have been Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana tacos, pizza and the deli.  Some dishes in the buffet (particularly the desserts) have been dry and missing some flavors. Anything gelatin based has been like eating rubber, but other things are fine. There is a for fee sushi place, but I haven't tried that. Desserts in the coffee bar are pretty good, but are a small charge (around $3 each).

Smaller, older ship, but very clean. Agree with others that some spaces could be utilized better. Overall, I like it.

Mic101680 - Did you do the Chef's Table on the Paradise on this B2B? If so, can you share what the menu was? We are sailing on the 16th and are thinking about doing it again. We sailed this time last year and was wondering if it is the same menu. Also do you know if they brought back the actual kitchen tour? Thanks!

    @barbiegee

We have sailed the Paradise more times than I care to admit, and have loved her every time. ❤️

  2. I am sure that this question has been asked before, but there is also 200+ pages to go through.
We are 6 days from sailing. Yesterday I checked our status and all of our bids were expired except one that still says pending. The strange thing is we can not modify or cancel this bid, nor have we received an email confirmation that we have won the bid (and assigned a new cabin).

    Is this typical?

    Thanks!

  3. Ok so this may be a silly question, but really I am just trying to get some clarification. If I purchase the deluxe beverage package and voom for one device for my room (two adults over 21), then we would receive two codes for internet, correct? To me that makes sense since both individuals are getting the package, however, it is hard to know with Royal sometimes.

    Thank you!!

Last month on Carnival Legend it was in the FIRST sea day.  We met in the Alchemy Bar at either 5:00 or 5:30.  Don't eat ahead of time, show up hungry!

Hi ParrotRob! Do you happen to have the current menu for the Chef's Table? Or at least can remember what some of the dishes were? We did it a year ago and we were wondering if the menu has since changed.

    Thanks!

Well as it turns out, I’m still in Detroit. They offered me $1,000 in flight credit to give up my seat and take a later flight. I jumped on because were doing Alaska next year, and this coupled with miles from my Delta Amex and reward points from the credit union means we’ll be out less than $500 for all of our tickets in first. #win

Working on getting pictures of compasses so I can upload them. I should have scanned them when I was at home.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to post your review! We also live in Tampa and will be sailing Harmony in September on the same itinerary. I would love to see the rest of the compasses if you get a moment to upload them. I know that this change, but I am curious when some of the other events take place.

    Thanks again!

Love the off-topic stuff in this thread.  Wife and I are originally from the Philly 'burbs.  FLY EAGLES FLY!

Speaking of off-topic and sports...Love to see another OCSC fan on here. My husband and I are season ticket holders. :)
In other news, looking forward to the review because we will be on the Harmony in Sept!

I asked this very question as I wanted the 5 night package for my 26 Jan sailing but it seemed to have sold out.

    First response:

We are glad to learn you are interested in our dining packages! These packages are based on availability, and it seems that it ran out for the 5 night package. However, we still have the 2 and 3 nights dining package, as well as the Ultimate Dining package which covers all nights of the sailing.

I asked about combining BOGO and 3 night and got this:

We have verified the information and you will be able to purchase both packages, but you will have to purchase them in different days, for example you purchase one package on the first days of the cruise and the second package for the rest of the days.

I'm sure you'll agree that clears everything up...

Decided to stick with 3 night and maybe book 1 or 2 more while onboard.

Thank you so much for providing their response. It is good to know that we can take advantage of both packages.

Try a BOGO and a 3 night. We had a BOGO and a 5 night on our Symphony sailing a few months ago.

Are you actually able to use both promotions? I thought with the BOGO you had to use it the first two nights and with the 3 might package you have to book your first reservation on night 1 or 2. ?

  9. I am sailing on the HOS on Sept 1, 2019. I recently inquired via email about the lack of availability of the dining packages on my cruise planner. I thought the 4 and 5 night dinning package might have been sold out. To my surprise, the Royal Caribbean rep responded saying that they are going to be discontinued and no longer offering them. Has anyone else received this message or is this just a tactic to get us to buy the ultimate or the restaurants individually?

    Thanks!

  10. Just a warning about the AARP cards from a personal experience that I have just gone through. Be sure that you give yourself plenty of time to receive them. Previously we have received them about 7 days after ordering them, however....

I ordered 2 $100 gift cards on November 1st and after realizing we have not received them yet, I check the order. I discovered at that point that they had not even been shipped yet. After talking to customer service, I was told that they would need to submit a ticket to figure out what happened, which can take 2 to 3 business days. No big deal if I had the extra time, however, our cruise leaves on the 15th (which originally I thought was plenty of time).  Knowing that even if they discovered the issue and shipped them next week, we would not get them in time. :( I unfortunately had to cancel my order (which is another ticket) and I will have to wait to be refunded.

Moral of the long story, just give yourself a couple of weeks before your trip to order, and be sure to check if it shipped about 3 days after you order.

Other than this instance we have not had an issues.
