  1. I’m sorry I was under  the impression this was the first time I had asked this question. I have looked back over my past posts and have no record of asking this question.  You do not have to reply to people asking the same twice upset you so much, just move on

  3. I have a service dog a Labadoodle because I am vision impaired.  He gives  me confidence to go out on my own.  However, as my next cruise involves  a 14 hours flight  and I don’t know how dog friendly Japan is.  He is staying at home and I will be using my white cane and husband.  The whole idea of the crowds of people being around is frightening, but I’m sure it will be OK

Not NCL's fault, but required by the Dublin Port Authority. Very few cruise ships now dock in Dublin Port but tender at Dun Laoghaire.   Believe it or not, caused by Brexit and the DPA requiring more space for import/export procedures.

I can believe it, I didn’t know that was the reason we were tending there. However, Ireland is such a beautiful country to visit, we not to let the ship soil it for us.

  5. I sail on NCL last May after a long break and hated it.  Bad food and service and no where to sit.  This ship on of the older ship and did not have a crows nest and only smaller venues where you could try and sit.  We had an over night in Dublin which turned out to be a tender port, 45 minutes on tender plus a train journey.  Every other time I have docked in Dublin with Cunard .NCL, now lack everything I cherish with HAL.  Good food and service, relaxing venues to sit and eat and drink and great music to listen to . Plus amazing itineraries

  6. Is me, or am I person that does not work out, how to get the best out of a package, or is it worth it.  I like the drinks package for peace of mind pay up front and then no worries.  I will alway have the elite package or similar on other cruise lines, because you get a better choice when ordering wine.  The only thing I take back to the cabin is a bottle of sparking water.

Just for the record, the bread pudding I had in school (US) was not the same food as what's being discussed here! The fact that they still called it bread pudding... well, at school they can get away with a lot!

In the UK we call it bread and butter pudding, bread pudding is very different .  I like bread and butter pudding and hate bread pudding.

We've booked a cruise in Japan and Korea for March 2025.  We've never booked this far ahead, so I'd like to know when the shore excursions for the cruise will be listed online or on the Navigator app.  I think they might book up quickly, so I'd like to get them scheduled early.

I've seen people with many different kinds of infirmities manage the Lido, with the help of the kind crew members.

And that is my only comment.

Maybe Holland will bring it back.

I’m registered blind and have never had a problem at the buffet. The crew have always been very helpful in a non-patronising way.

  10. I have been on many shore excursions provided by the ship, with many different cruise lines, in many different countries.  There always seem to the two that arrive late smiling carry a lot of bags. The next excursion, you see them again, your heart sinks, followed by a lot of swear words in my head  and yes you guessed late again at the stops.   I find this Behavour to be very rude with no consideration to others, not a sociopath, but I’m narcissist.

We are seriously considering the deluxe package on Aurora in November. As we are going to Norway in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights, the short days, several sea days and the inclusion of most Costa products for internal heating, plus more than basic alcoholic drinks (some also for internal heating), seems to make it a good option.

I have paid for the Deluxe drinks package for November, I drink a lot of  Costa coffee and love a hot chocolate in the cold.  My husband likes a large glass of wine at meals times, it saves keep asking for another I also like Baileys, you get a 50 ml servicing on the deluxe unlike the 25ml on the basic drinks package.  I never add up what I have drank during the day, however, NCL this year year I had a £350 bill for just coffee and water which was not included in their Fee at Sea.

There's a whole thread about this already in the general cruise section. Wowzz found out it was happening on Princess and wondered why. Plus, Holland America and NCL

This is 100% false.  Vaping nicotine is far more dangerous than smoking a cigarette.  First off liquid nicotine is so harmful that handling it requires a full hazmat suit.  The steam/vapor from vaping gets far deeper into the lungs than the solids from smoking a cigarette.  I know a fairly large number of people who work in the industry, specifically in R&D. Anyone who is vaping thinking it is 'safer' than smoking tobacco or a good way to quit smoking is sadly misleading themselves.  Smoking (whether a traditional tobacco cigarette or the electronic version) is nothing more than committing suicide on thr time delay plan.  Enjoy!

My vape has gone in the bin, turmeric capsules all the way for me now

Tobacco and Marijuana are also natural.

Anyway, as others have stated, you'll only be able to vape in the smoking sections on your ship.

    https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/smoking

On Jewel and Star Class ships and Norwegian Spirit:

The designated smoking areas for cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, pipe smoking and vapor smoking devices are permitted on deck 13 forward port side.

You can also vape in the casino, where the smoking is allowed.

Since you use it for medical purposes, that should be easy enough for you to go to the smoking section for the vape.

Turmeric capsules it is then, a lot less stressful
