We did Juneau whale watching last week with our family.  Saw several whales & even got to see them breach.  My 12 year old grandson loved the tour & did a google review before he even got off the boat.

I am so happy to hear that you had a good time! And so sweet of your grandson to do that!! 🙂

Jayleen is wonderful -- we have taken numerous whale watching excursions with her.  In fact, we just completed two in June and have already made our reservation for next July.  Take a look at her website for general information.  She has reviews on Cruise Critic as well as TripAdvisor.

    Thank you so much! 🙂

We went with Jayleen last year.  Lovely young woman.  Extremely knowledgeable, really knows her stuff.  Just be aware her boat is very small.  The bay was not rough, so no problem for us.

Thank you so much for responding. We spend quite a bit of time boating here in FL, so a small boat will not be a problem for us. 🙂

From what I have read, DIY Jeep Tours in Skagway was acquired by Avis. They no longer rent out the Jeep Wranglers and instead just give a Jeep Cherokee/SUV.

Thank you so much for that information! I will call and confirm that we will be renting a Jeep Wrangler. If not, I will cancel my reservation.

  5. Before sail away, have your cabin steward place a note in your cabin calling your gf down to the "naughty room" because something has been "confiscated" from her checked luggage. Give her a hard time on the way down there about what you think she may have packed that is not allowed on board. Once you get the naughty room you can propose. LOL :)

  6. We booked a category 8E balcony on the Lido deck and paid 2562.00 for four people, but it is a five night cruise to Grand Turk and Amber Cove. We are going in May 2016 and we booked about a year ago.

Never had to wait more than 15 minutes for anytime dining. It was nice, but we prefer either early or late seating so we can have the same wait staff every night. You can always request anytime dining for now and then if you change your mind, head over to the dining room once you get on board. They will most likely be able to switch it for you.

Have never been to any of those ports, so I can't comment on that. I'm sure they are amazing, though!

  7. I am sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I have really enjoyed reading your reviews and catching a glimpse of all of the amazing memories you have made with your dad.

The most important person in my life, my grandmother, passed away yesterday as well. She took me on my first cruise for my 13th birthday and we have been cruising ever since. She was 94 years young. I'm so thankful to have had her in my life for 46 years!

No matter where we go, or what we do, they will always be with us. Sending thoughts of peace and comfort your way, Brianna. <3

  8. We are taking our girls on (8 and 13) on their first cruise in August and we booked the Sunshine. Hubby and I went on the Paradise two years ago and we loved it, but it doesn't have all of the 2.0 upgrades like the Sunshine. I think our kids will really enjoy the water slides, rope course, etc. and hubby and I will enjoy the Serenity Area and the Red Frog Rum Bar. Something for everyone on the Sunshine! :)
