  1. We have sailed on the Brilliance OTS 3 times, the last time in mid November, and will be sailing on her again this coming Saturday. To put it simply, we love everything about the cruise experience aboard the ship. Service, food, ambiance, Solarium, and while I already said service, we love the friendliness of the attentive crew.

We are also sailing on the Brillance this Saturday (Jan. 3rd). See you onboard. We're meeting at Sky Bar around 2 PM.

  2. I'm sailing on the Brilliance Jan 22nd. "thinking" about switching it over to the 3 day on Enchantment again. I just love this ship and the wonderful crew.

Thanks for the kind words about the review and pictures, it means a lot to me.

What a bummer. Wish you could come with my daughter and I on the 3rd. Would love some photo tips too. You do the most incredible job with your photos. Even if you say you are not a professional...it sure looks like it to me. Can't wait to see the Liberty review and photos.

  3. Hey Jane!

I'm glad you are enjoying it! I wish I had more details on the ship, but with 2 days on port on a 3 day cruise, kinda hard.

Feel free to join me on the Liberty next month or Brilliance in Jan. Both of those sailings, the prices are very low!

I have some great Coco Cay pictures coming up and one amazing sunset picture!

I have loved your review and the pictures are beautiful. We're going on the Brilliance Jan. 3rd and can't wait. When are you going in January?

  4. Could someone that has sailed a 5 day cruise this season please post the order of the MDR menus? We are trying to plan our specialty dining nights and want to make sure we don't book on our favorite MDR menu nights.

We'll be sailing on the Brillance of the Seas. Do they have a formal night on this 5 night cruise?

    Thanks for your help!

  5. Lean around the divider to the right on the balcony. That was my DH's first aft facing balcony on the Radiance.

Ok, set aside the gagundo balcony.

It's very quiet back there. No kids screaming past your door, no jolly drunks toddlering down the hallway late at night.

Some mention soot. We have never experienced it.

We sailed (one deck above in 1104) on the Brilly in Canada. I was sick (heart) but didn't realize how serious at the time. I didn't even make it off the ship at 2 ports....never left the cabin. I lived on that balcony!

Aft cabins have one more terrific asset. Know how windy it can be on a balcony on the side if the ship underway? Not aft. We actually had 50 mph breezes on the beam one day as I was quietly napping under the small mountain of blankets the cabin attendant brought.

OK....one more great thing? No worries about what side if the ship has preferred viewing....you see it all!

Long walk, phooey (unless your heart us ailing then there is room service on bad days).

Fast forward.....post heart surgery. 2 weeks from today we head out once again for our Radiance in Alaska to celebrate our anniversary. We were married onboard in Juneau 8 years ago.

This time Hubsters snagged cabin 1100 the first day of reservations.

Since his first aft cabin, we have cruised in nothing else. I once caught DH almost whimpering when I mentioned a hump cabin.

Brilly is a lovely ship. Radiance Class are our favorites so I am not objective.

    Have a GREAT time!

Don't forget what they say.........once you go aft ..... ;-0

GREAT YouTube video of cabin 1104 on the Radiance. It will be the same as yours if you like the visual. Check it out!

Ok , lets see if I snagged the right video!

Thanks for your great comments. I am so glad you are healthy now and can enjoy your upcoming cruise.

Have fun!!!! Your comments are making me so excited.

  6. I love the aft cabins myself. Where will you be going? When we did our Alaska cruise we were able to see whales from our balcony! I love being able to see out the back and off to the side. The walk never bothered me. I always figured that would work off all the food and drink!

We're going to the Caribbean. I agree about the walk. I don't want to come home with any added weight (lol) because we both love to drink and eat.

  7. I havent really seen any good informative threads about BOS, or at least new ones since it was refurbished.

I was just wondering if anyone had any positive/negative comments. How is the food in the MDR? Does anything stand out and how about the entertainment?

    Thanks everyone!

  8. I would appreciate some feedback about some of these balcony cabins.

    8086, 8088, 8102, 8104, 8586, 9642 or 9094.

We need to pick several and these look like that they might have larger balconies but can't determine if they are angled right for the best views.

    Any other recommendations are appreciated.

  9. Are there any hotels that offer transportation from the airport to the hotel then from the hotel to the port?

The Radisson offers shuttle service both ways from the Orlando airport. Just talked to them this morning. They have very specific times though. We are using Cocoa Beach Shuttle to and from airport and they got good reviews.

  10. Besides being able to buy Latiesse, Retinol and different antibiotics, are there any other beauty aids which are less money than in the states (ie Obagi, etc)???

If so, who has the best prices and you can trust.
