Just to let everyone know, the entire 8 days are online - sorry I forgot to check in here during the cruise, I mainly posted it on FB and time just flew by! She's a great ship and we were very lucky with the weather!

There is complimentary food in the buffet, the grab and go Atmosphere Pool bar, snacks in the Sky Lounge, free dining in the Waves restaurant for Breakfast and Dinner and of course the MDR. However, the speciality restaurant packages are very good value (either individually or the triple one)!

We're boarding on Friday in Marseille and looking forward to seeing what MSC's flagship has to offer! Did our first cruise on Magnifica earlier this year and was really impressed with her after being devoted Cunard fans. For value for money, they are outstanding IMHO!

In the UK we had it done same day - not sure about elsewhere. You only need to provide screenshots - so don't worry about not being able to export a report, get a printed copy from your cruise line, etc!

Re: #4 Itineraries generally, come out 18months before they are due to sail. 24months if they are a world cruise.

What are your options if you miss it? What time does the airport require you to check-in by? (Especially with luggage)

3.5hrs is pretty risky. One gangway problem and you could have quite a queue before you can disembark!

We had our status match within 4hours (emailed in during UK working hours) - I have to say, the MSC Cruises staff are very quick on email and extremely efficient compared to experiences with other cruise lines!

Happily sailed into Black on our last voyage!

Just returned from Magnifica - we had a "White Night" and no Italian night. From enquiring it seems White Night is across the fleet now as their passengers become more mixed-European rather than just Italian :)

Who is on the 14th May sailing from Southampton on MSC Magnifica?

We just returned from two weeks with her and she is a lovely ship!

I got the date wrong it was Sunday 22nd not the 27th. Is that when the video was taken?

Slightly farther out than the Hilton - we've stayed at the Botley Park Hotel and we loved it. They do a cruise/park package that includes up to 28 days free parking and a taxi to the docks. And the total price for the two of us was only about £40 dearer than we would have paid for the parking alone with CPS at the docks.

Thanks for that tip - I am going down to Southampton next Thursday and have just booked this, I have a brand new 2 month old Mercedes and little unsure at leaving it with the valet guys / or at a city hotel whilst I am on the cruise, so this hotel looks like it fits the bill!
