Yes, you can choose either a red or white wine for free on the first night. What I also learned on my last cruise that you can purchase a bottle of wine for 50% off of the normal price instead of choosing the free bottle on the first night as well. We opted to get a very nice bottle of a favorite wine at a great price instead of the free bottle.

This was not true on all ships. The Glory gave a great bottle of wine 50% off and they let us get second bottle at 50%, but the Breeze just gave you the cheap stuff and no 50% option. They asked us at the steakhouse to PLEASE lodge complaint. We and many others said keep the cheap stuff and didn't eat there. That was in December 2014. I am hoping this has changed since then.

Has anyone ever done the 2 day out of NYC? How much are the drinks? Or can I buy an all inclusive drink Package?

In any case rates go down after your final payment? Will they give OBC?

I too am CAS, and we booked months ago. This week, the prices dropped drastically, over $500. They would not give me an onboard credit, but they did give me a complimentary upgrade to a mini suite. I would have much preferred an OBC.

FYI-

We got another 5X the points offer on our NCL card today. It is good through Dec. 31, 2013 on purchases at toy, book, sporting goods, electronics, and department stores this time. Watch for it in the mail in a white unmarked envelope.

Kylie, is this 5X points offer automatic, or do you have to register your card to get the 5X?
