Are all the Magic balcony rooms and balconies including coves the same size? I don't see where the sizes are listed online. If not can anyone tell me the approximate differences? Thanks!!

Which cruise date? Sounds like a safe decision so you don't have to worry where they put you I ask because I am waiting also on a guarantee assignment for the 2/8 Magic sailing. I got an email to upgrade to a suite for $480 but by the time I opened email and logged in it was expired (which I assume means it was sold out). It would have been nice to have had the option. What are the hours for guest services? Can you go late at night and do it when it might be less busy? You don't have to add them to your acct right away, do you?

What is the deposit for booking as a past guest on board? I have not figured out what a normal deposit is as there are so many different ways/programs to book. Taking my first Carnival cruise in Feb. and may want to book our family's summer cruise while on board, if prices are right.

I would like to hear your take as well. I have only taken two cruises, both with Disney, and am booked for my first Carnival cruise on the Magic in February. After the Disney Magic and Fantasy, I am anxious how the Carnival Magic will stack up. I know I will miss my characters and Disney shows (I'm pretty sure I liked them more than my kids did, ha ha)!

And when I first cruised Disney it was in an inside cabin, which definitely did not feel like I imagine the Polynesian - I have only done moderate resorts at WDW also, lol.

Loved the review! Just booked a first Carnival Cruise which is on the Magic - I was dying with your Pappas story about the Texans fans glaring your direction thiking you were rooting for the Cowboys - poor you! I am a die hard Texans fan and so your retelling of the game in the restaurant was too funny! I'm surprised there weren't more Cowboys fans than just one - those pesky critters seem to show up everywhere, unfortunately :p! We lost the game, so it's good you got out before it ended lol!!

You went to some of the same places we did on prior Disney cruises (to Cozumel and Grand Cayman) and your stories and photos brought back fun memories!
