we are suppose to be there April 10 or 11 but have received nothing to indicate an itinerary change (coming from NY)

I think you should recheck your itinerary. It’s been advertised for months now that they would be closing for renovations.

  2. The Escape is sailing from Miami next Sunday empty to NYC. We embark on Tuesday the 22nd. We have an 8pm sailaway scheduled. Does anyone know what time we should be able to board since we have such a late sail away? Normally we are onboard by 1130ish but I’m wondering if they hold up checkin when they have later sailaway? TIA

  3. I just booked a cruise using the BOGO air deal. Newark to Florida over spring break. I choose a 1 day deviation. I’m going to hope for the best that we have direct flights for a 2.5 hour flight. NCL is charging 418.00 but looking at spirit, jet blue and United for those days I can’t find a deal less then 1600.00 for 2!! I have used the air promo before flying from Newark to Barcelona with a 2 day air deviation and the flights were great. Direct flights at the perfect time and I was even able to upgrade to United’s plus seats right through United’s website! I know I need to pick my seats and pay for bags so no surprises there! Hoping for the best.

We're booked in an SC category, non-Haven "Penthouse Suite with Balcony" in mid-June. From what I've been able to discover (and NCL seem to go to great lengths to keep the Suite perqs a secret) there are supposed to be 2 free room service deliveries per trip, all else at $9.95 per delivery. I was under the impression that yes, PPV movies are free in the suites, but if post #2 is correct and you can't even choose what movie is playing, that perq becomes pretty much useless for me.

I just wanted to clarify for you there are not 2 free room service delivery’s (9.95 charge) It’s actually 2 free snack delivery’s during the week by room service to all SP suites. Haven guests get the daily snacks delivered by the butler, SP suites get 2 of those snack deliveries DELIVERED by rooms service. You do not choose what days, what snacks or what time. Room service just comes by 2 times during the week.

  5. Since it’s been 2 years since our last cruise I can’t seem to remember if we each get the platinum and platinum plus dinner coupons or is it 1 per stateroom? Traveling in a Haven stateroom next June with my mom who is PP and I’m Platinum. Should we each expect our own Latitude coupons? TIA

  6. Hi Gary, I followed your live reports. Thanks for all the info. I’m confused about the haven LOUNGE menu. The Escape & breakaway havens that  I was in did not have this menu pre COVID, where do you order from the lounge menu? Our next Haven cruise will be on the Joy in June to Bermuda. Can you order off this menu at the bar area or also the observation longe? The other question I have is about vibe. I am a  HUGE fan of the vibe and usually I still get the vibe pass even in haven but my next cruise on the Joy I was thinking of not getting the pass BUT how was the bar service up on the sun deck? Thanks so much!

  7. Hi everyone. I booked a haven cabin on the Joy using FCC credit. I still have a balance that’s due in February. I noticed when I look online and click on make a payment I have a coupon available to use called “Welcome back” & it’s in the amount of 250.00. I did not call CAS yet but I was wondering if anyone else was able to use the welcome back coupon when. Upgrading from a cas comp to haven? Thanks in advance. I didn’t even know I have this credit because it’s not listed on my account profile. I can only see it when I go to make a payment page.

Why would you need Vibe passes when you already have the even more exclusive Haven? Just curious, those are so limited as it is seems like a waste.

It’s a completely different atmosphere then the haven sun deck and unless you have had Vibe passes before it would be difficult to understand what the difference is, but it’s a big difference. The vibe could be a party type atmosphere with the right people and the fantastic bartenders they have. The haven does not have a bar outside and it’s more of a relaxing family type atmosphere on the haven sun deck. I love the vibe and choose to stay in the haven and party in the vibe.

  9. I believe some minisuites are located above the “waterfront” which could be noisy...and Ibelieve one side of could be smoky, too.

I initially bid low for a mini suite then cancelled it. I fear a worse location than my current balcony. And, knowing I can only win one bid, don’t want an iffy uprade to a minisuite to knock me out of bidding for the Haven.

That's exactly why I keep canceling my mini suite bid lol but would it knock us out of a Haven win?

  10. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know for sure if bidding on a mini suite cabin HURTS your chances of winning a bid for a Haven cabin? Usually I only bid on Haven, but figured I would try for a mini suite also this time. Here on CC there are conflicting posts. Some say yes, some say no but for those of you that HAVE bid on both were you successfull winning a Haven over the mini? Thanks for any info you can contribute.

  11. Day two which is the first sea day. I have heard it is very good. I will be on the Escape in 12 days and will let you know.

Hey neighbor I see you're in Point. I am in Brick. I'll wave to you as I get off the ship. lol I might have to stop at the seafood buffet for appitizers just to check it out because we already have dinner reservations for day 2 .... :(

  12. It will be very difficult to get a signal anywhere inside the ship. Definitly use the airplane mode most of the time. Otherwise if your're out on deck you should be able to text here and there. You wont be able to use your own data from the ship when at sea. Be very, very careful my daughter streamed music on the beach in bermuda a few years ago and when we got home she had just about a 3000.00 bill!!!:eek::mad: Call your carrier and find out about international calling, texting and data if you plan on using your phone.

  13. I guess I am 1 of those inconsiderate haven smokers that smoke in the 1 & only DESIGNATED area.... lol There are plenty of loungers ( a lot) OUTSIDE of the smoking area to view the sail away if you dont smoke. There is even glass partitions that seperate the smoking and NON smoking areas. I have been in the Haven a few times and I prefer to watch sail away from the water front bars or at the pool to dance. Nothing is going on up in the haven. Enjoy the haven it really is HEAVEN!

  14. Doing the happy dance!!! woooooo hoooooo Sailing Next sat. on the Escape. My bid was accepted for IA inside to BB Balcony midship!!! This original booking was an inside cabin booked with CAS. My bid was 180.00pp. My daughter also had an inside cabin next to me and her bid was accepted too for 150.00pp. Her cabin was not booked with CAS. Yes, there are still cabins left and we probably could have gone down lower with our bids, however I was comfortable with my bid. I called CAS 3 days ago (fri) and they STILL wanted 300pp to upgrade me to a balcony. So I look at it as a WIN!!! :) :D:D:D:D
