Because, whilst people grumble about the DSC, they also grumble when the prices go up if it is added into the cruise cost.
NCL actually did away with the DSC for us in the UK last year. They have now brought it back in. As a result, NCL cruises are now more affordable for us (I cancelled my booked cruise under "all inclusive", rebooked and saved a load of money).
I went to book a cruise on the 31st MARCH under the old prices but asked the T.Agent about the new deals after the 2nd April he found it would be cheaper so I waited and like you I saved a packet and still got the drinks package and 5 nights sp.dinning on a14 night cruise

I travel solo but I find the ships without a solo lounge the meeting time are not always suitable for every one
like in some bar at 7p.m, when some people like to dine early 6 /6.30 so to catch the first show.

Please use the tongs and you see people searching for the best piece of bread or roll with there hands in the buffet

what would N.C.L. do if everyone reduced the service charge because of the reduction in services
instead they keep raising them.

I think it would be better if P&O did not add the tips but let you add the £6 per day if you would like to or tip as you see it and not have to ask to have them removed

They are 1.5 litres as Wowzz said above. They fit in the fridge for chilling and yes the top is wide enough to fill a smaller bottle.
What you will not get on the deal is sparkling water, this is charged at the full rate for some reason.
If we have the car we take our own and send a case of it to the cabin. As we went by air on our last cruise we had to pay up for their water as I don't like the still variety unless it is out of my tap at home, which is some of the best quality water in the world.
you must be from Scotland:)
