  1. Hi,

We are doing a Caribbean cruise from Miami next year and on our return to Miami our flight back to London does not leave until 22.30. Would like to book a room in a hotel for the day so we have somewhere to leave our luggage, do a bit of sightseeing and then return for a shower before leaving for the airport.

Does anyone know if this will be pre-book able or is it something we can only do once in Miami. Any tips or recommendations much appreciated .

  2. Hi, We are travelling on Epic on 17th April from Barcelona to Civitavecchia. Only a three day cruise to try NCL, the cruise continues for longer.

We will be booking a private transfer to Rome as we have a hotel booked but I need to know what time we have to disembark. We thought it would be better to let all those who are doing trips etc, to get off first and then we disembark at around 9.30. Do you think this will be ok or will we be made to disembark earlier.

    Any help/advise much appreciated.

  3. We thought it was rubbish too. We used the tap water for the kettle, but my parents believed it! £158 later after injections and two days they were fine but very wary about eating and drinking for the rest of the cruise. With regard to the ill people on the plane the air stewardess told us they had all stayed at the same hotel but we recognised some from the ship so knew she was telling porkies! I do wonder if some people who were ill on board ship did not notify Dr and confined themselves to cabin or not !

  4. We are just back and were on same flight. My parents were ill on board for and were confined to cabin for a couple of days. They saw ships Dr who gave them an injection and said it may have been because they used the ships water to boil the kettle !! I have had nv on another ship and they had similar symptoms never had an injection ( I thought this was only for sea sickness). To be honest although we enjoyed the cruise we thought the food was poor in all restaurants.

Staff are great but we won't be returning to thomsons and this was our tenth with thomsons.

  5. Hi Martin and Jean,

We had a good time too and Dubrovnik was our favourite port. We also went over to capri from Naples and the blue grotto was an experience that we were not really prepared for, both hilarious and fascinating. Loved Venice and wished we could be sailing off with aurora. As much as we loved the cruise the smoking restrictions caused a few cross words so will have to consider that in future cruises. Food was great and hot and weather was good.

  6. I thought our flight was early at 7.40 not sure what hubby would have thought about 6.30 !! Hope you all have a relaxing flights and a fab cruise .

    Hello Jessie

We are also travelling to Genoa on the same date from Gatwick at 6-30am - The cruise personaliser says we have to be there 3 hours before take off i.e. 3-30am !!

We are staying in a premier inn or similar the night before opposite the North terminal and hope to get just a few hours sleep. Thursday promises to be a long day................

Have a lovely holiday - At least we will be in Italy within two hours or so

  7. Thanks for downloading the info it has made the next few weeks till we travel more exciting.. We are on the same cruise from 30th April and its interesting to read ahead, it also means we have a better idea of what time we arrive in ports etc. Have been trying to work out what White Room Menu will be in use on the 4th may (sunday) but cannot seem to get my head round it. Also our flight back to Gatwick on the 7th is at 11.45am do you or any cc members have any idea what time we will have to leave the ship.
