Is Wonderland included in the choice of restaurants?
-
I always bring water shoes, and everything I've read states drink package does not work on the island...frustrating, I know!
-
how do you apply for an exemption? We are a party of twelve with one 23 month old.
-
Thanks for the updates. Wishing you a great cruise.
-
I received the RU9 code as well, I called and they have stopped selling cabins for my sailing (10/23/21) so they cannot apply the code for mine. She said if rooms become available, I can call and see if it can be applied.

I checked my two cruises and no changes.

Every few years we take a large family vacation. Generally around 15 of us and I am the one to book everyone. The age ranges go from teens to senior. I know many ppl in our party have smart phones for texting, but older members of our party do not. So I bring post-it notes and pens for everyone. I try to get each cabin their own color to leave a note on each others door if they are heading somewhere or want to communicate. ("heading to Park Café at 2pm", or "reading in the solarium at 115pm") placing a time on the note tells them if it's outdated or not.
I also make personalized door signs for each cabin (we always book rooms near each other). I personalize the door signs with names so it is less likely they will get taken. Then we all know which room is Aunt Jane's without having to guess or memorize cabin numbers. Then just tag your post-it to the appropriate door.
We also have a general meeting spot- everyone in my party knows they can almost always find me in the Solarium...

Thank you!

so, do they charge per night? or per day?
I am going on a sailing that is 8 nights.
Thanks

Excellent visit from the Upgrade Fairy! Congratulations!

I just checked my pricing and the rep (Dot-very nice) told me that since I get a C&A discount for a balcony with my current reservation, that I am not eligible for the free gratuities...so my cruise now is actually quite a bit more expensive...
Rhapsody April 15 2017 out of Tampa.
I never knew you couldn't combine a promotion offer with a balcony discount for C&A membership...

Hello Angie, we are on this cruise with you. Stop by the roll-call!

I have only been to Pancho's Backyard and it is always very good.
Where is the Pancho's with the beach access? I assume there are two locations because the "backyard" doesn't have a beach. How do you get there?

Someone on another thread posted about a Groupon for City View. Plus today you get an extra 20% off.
-
Thanks for the heads-up about the Groupon. I just grabbed one at an extra discount for 20%. $60 for four people is a deal.

I don't believe Brilliance has the "Splash Zone".
I have seen people who have purchased the little blow up pools (usually at a dollar store) and bring those. They are easy to fill (maybe a gallon of water or so) and easy to dump out in the drains near the showers.
I have never seen staff make a fuss over it because 1) its small, 2) if you place it out of a walkway area-you will be fine. 3) they want to keep there customers happy and if you do it nicely out of the way, you are not impacting other guests.

We did, and had great success. We emailed about 1 month before the cruise and requested a table for two by the atrium railing. I had booked my MTD reservations online already, and they were all relatively close in time (all fell between 5:30 and 6:30). When we arrived on Day 1 to our cabin, we had a message from the dining room manager asking us to come down to the MDR to see the table they'd selected for us. It was perfect. He told us not to wait in the "reservation" line but to just go straight to our table each night. We did, had the same wait staff each night, and it was a very pleasant experience.
Thanks, this gives me hope.
-
Can a table request be made in advance with MTD? I have booked the same time for every night, I was hoping for the same table/waiter as well.

Mine opened at 90 days out.

I went into the RCCL website, did a search and found a ship/sailing (nov 2015) I wanted. I am looking for a room with four adults.
The first option that popped up was a 2 bedroom suite and the price was decent. I put a hold on it.
I just spoke to my TA and he said that I cannot book this room because there is a 5 person minimum.
-Why would Royal offer that room (with a minimum pax requirement) to me with 4 ppl clearly marked in my seach que?
-Why would Royal give me pricing for four people when there is a minimum of 5 required?
-Why would Royal allow me to place this room on hold, if in fact I do NOT meet the requirements on the room? (while doing the search and price check and hold, there was never a message that appeared with a "warning" stating I am not eligible for this room).
This is confusing to me...If there is a minimum requirement, then why get me all excited for a room I cannot have.
I still have it on hold for now, because I want to ensure this is not a glitch or that because we are closer to a sail date that the requirements haven't been dropped.
Has anyone else had this issue?

We booked this cruise over 6 months ago for Nov 2015, and we were not given a choice and told we had to book MTD.
-
Thanks for the info! Care to share any photos?

We just got off Brilliance a couple weeks ago...they had lunch in Giovanni's on the Sea Days...I "think" it was $10, but not positive...I planned on eating lunch there one of the days, but there was always so much else I wanted to do I never made it.
Thank you for this information! I can hold out hope! If it isn't available, we will just attend during the dinner hours, thanks again.

I'm ready for the size difference. I have been on all sizes except Quantum. I just did Liberty last month, so I know what to expect. I actually enjoy the smaller ships overall. On Allure we had the last Aqua Balcony room and man, was that a hike and a half several times a day. View was amazing, but that walk in heels nearly killed me.

Has anyone else gotten this promotion? I am sailing in a few weeks and wondering if I can book a next cruise (and get those onboard perks) and also get the 4x points?
