Are you referring to a better grade cabin than that which you have booked? Are you looking for a free upgrade or a paid upgrade?
I'm not looking for anything free. Was just curious that is all.

So out of curiousity what are the chances of going to guest services on embarkation day and seeing if there are any cabins available to switch to? Is this a thing? Our ship is booked but wasn't sure if there's a chance in asking.
Thanks for any feedback

My sister and I knocked out the power in our cabin on Mardi Gras last year because she was using a blow dryer while I was using the flatiron. We called our room steward, and he got it fixed while we were at dinner….just be aware, one product at a time!
Well, just will be me this time, so i'm hoping and thinking i'll be fine.

I feel your pain! I rely on my curling iron. Having been on Mardi Gras with a curling iron that didn’t work, I will now bring two options. Hate to pack the extra but it’s better than having nothing. Funny thing- the exact curling iron that DIDN’T work for me worked for another poster (on a different thread about this topic). Good luck!!!
I guess i'm gonna do the same and just bring 2! LOL

So I've been reading and seeing many reviews about how people are having issues with they're irons not working or barely working on this ship. I guess due to the Wattage . Anyone have a clue what is suggested to bring, as far as this issue. I really can't rely on a blow dryer. Thanks for any help

Just Curious if anyone knows what the movies will be next month, wasn't sure if it was the same as this month. Thanks!

We did the falls last summer and jumping wasn't allowed. Instead we slid down the rocks into the water below. If you didn't want to slide there were ladders/stairs you could use. I assume it's a Carnival Liability issue, because there were other non-cruise groups that were using the jumping platform.
Yeah thats what we were thinking too. Before the whole pandemic we booked the waterfalls last minute through the cruise line and were able to jump or go down the stairs. Definatly a lot of fun.

Hey there y'all question about an excursion.
So hubby and I booked the zip and dip (waterfalls and ziplining) in D.R. for our upcoming cruise . Booked through Carnival as we had before .
Now looking at reviews they are now saying you aren't allowed to jump in the water as we previously were able to. You now have to go down stairs in order to get into the water. now when we had done this very excursion in the past there was the option now there is none. Anyone have a clue why? We did read that if we wanted to it was better to book outside of Carnival because they allow you to jump in the waterfalls. Thanks for any feedback.

If you want the platinum chocolate delight you have to call room service and ask for that. And any bar for the water bottle you get for being platinum. And you get a 25 dollar casino credit at the Casino cage. You have to be proactive to get all your benefits now.
I've Been forgetting about the casino credit and the Chocolate delight! So when I call and ask for it, will it automatically recognize that I'm Platinum and not charge me?

Soooo hubby got a fabulous deal on an inside cabin on the Celebration in April. Literally under 1000.00 with taxes and all that happy stuff. Thing is he booked one of those little square cabins... I'm not a balcony snob ( although I do fancy them, lol and yes I prefer them) But for the price could not go wrong. My question is and yes I've seen vlogs on these cabins... How bad are they really? should I try to move us? He booked in the aft area, normally we're in the front.... Any input would be great. Last cruise was on the Madi Gras so i have an idea of the deck plans.

yes to both questions

We had the square interior in January and loved it. The cabin "felt" bigger to me. I do agree with the previous poster that the layout of the vanity (and that really heavy stool!) make it tough to have anything open while sitting there. Lots of closet space too.
This is good to hear! We're cruising on the Celebration in April. Hubby got a crazy good deal on an inside so he snagged it. I was kinda regretting it due to seeing youtube vlogs and reports on the kind of cabin. We've stayed in all kinds of cabin Categories but this is a first for the square, which we got on deck 14. Still unsure but your comment is encouraging.

Thank you everyone! pretty much what I thought. Now to see if my husband can cancel where he originally booked.

We'll be cruising on the Celebration this april . Driving from home we needed to park our car near or at the port. We ended up going with the company ' safe cruise parking". Anyone have any experience with them? Hubby booked it before I had a chance to google reviews. Thanks for any feedback.

I love seeing throwbacks like this ,especially seeing how much everything has changed over the years. Thanks so much for posting this!

Good Afternoon !! Quick question, We'll be cruising out of Miami in April on the Celebration. We've cruised out of Miami before but never driven there. We're looking for recommendations on where to park our car during our cruise. I've looked at a few places online , but the reviews we're less than appealing. Staying the nite before in Orlando so we'll be driving in the morning of our cruise. Thanks for any help.

I’m on MG now. I woke up at 2 minutes before midnight and checked in at 12:01 and got the 10:00 time slot. That’s A02.
We ended up running late and got in the 11:30 line. When we walked through the door, there was a lady walking around with a card with an A on it so we followed her. That may have been the fastest time I’ve gotten on a ship.
Same here for our cruise on the MG back in July. Our check in was for 10-10:30. We got to the port at 10:30 due to an highway issue. We were on the ship by 11! Never at any port have we got on that quick! Defintaly a fabulous way to start a cruise.

You beat me to it. Thanks for explaining the process. Hopefully the confusion is cleared up.
Wasn't confused on the whole process since we've done it many times at other ports before. I was just curious as to this port in general if there were those who had experience there since its new .😉
-
Thanks Y'all! We were able to check in earlier due to being platinum and got a 10-10:30 slot. We are familiar with all the different procedures due to Covid. Just wasn't sure if there were any recommendations with that port since its new to us. Again Thanks for the help.

For lunch there are no reservations needed so you should be all good there. BUT it is only open until about 2pm for lunch, and re-opens at 5:30 for dinner, so a late lunch there isn't really an option. And when it re-opens at 5:30 you need to use the app to check in.
And just to clarify you don't get a reservation, when you are ready to eat you check in and the app will alert you when your table is ready and you have 10 minutes to make it to the restaurant. Before you check in the app will also give you a general time frame on when you should expect to have a table available. So if for some reason they are slammed that night you might see that it will take an hour to get a table you might opt for one of the other restaurants with a shorter wait time.
Thank you so so much , for all your help and clarifying ! I'm glad I found this out now rather than be on the ship. Gonna go change to anytime dining!
-
I know its going to be pretty crazy on embarkation day but any suggestions to those who have experience with this port whats the best time to arrive? We leave next weekend so its also summer crowds as well.
-
Thank You! Definatly a bit confusing. Also about the late lunch I was refering to if we wanted to eat lunch(or a early dinner, lol) around 4 if we still had to wait or there was no to. Think I may just switch it to anytime dining to be safe. Not a fan of eating dinner at 9 at night.... Now if we're having a piece of pizza or sandwich thats another story, lol
