  1. My husband is obsessed with crab and seafood so we are looking for suggestions for July in Alaska. Where can we find the best? Is there anyplace that has all-you-can-eat? I remember reading about a no frills crab shack on one of the piers but I don't remember where that was now.. Our stops are Icy Straight, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria.

  2. I am just starting to do research on our Alaska trip in July of 2023. I remember reading a review at some point that mentioned a stand by the dock where a person could get a bowl of shelled crab legs and butter. That deliciousness has stuck with me! Anyone have any suggestions or recollections of such a place? Our itinerary is as follows: Icy Straight, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria.

  3. Maybe a crew member or a passenger saw it unattended and brought it to guest services.

Sorry it happened to you, but I never leave anything unattended in a bathroom. If I have something with me, either I take it in the stall with me or I go back to the cabin.

I accidentily left my custom tervis (with my name on it and seashore motiff) under my chair while out watching a Dive-in movie. I immediately went back and asked AND IT WAS GONE!!

I asked at guest services to see if it had been turned in and they said no. I then went back and asked around to the employees on the lido deck who all told me the same thing. THEY DO NOT TURN IN FOUND CUPS THEY JUST THROW THEM AWAY. There are so many that they clog up guest services so they are not turned in. I am guessing the nice ones are "re-gifted" to themselves.. .

  4. I am a SPED teacher so I understand the issues with over-stimulation for your son. I would try for any cabana over 7 with 8 or 9 being your top picks if you don't want to be completely away from the crowds. The lowest numbered (1-5) cabanas are loud and people crowd all their chairs in front of the units. There is also the issue of the small children's waterpark and the loud pumping music from the loud speakers in front of the bar ( the pirate ship in your diagrams) . The buffet is set up behind that area also. The water is beautiful here and you will have a great time.

  5. I am still waiting to hear from someone who has sailed on the vista in a Havana room about the Cuban coffee and snack items. Are they available all day, cost, what was there??? Anyone?? Kind of a weird thing to be so excited about but I'm not really much of a drinker...but I LOVE ME SOME CUBAN COFFEE!!!!!:D

  6. We are booked in 7459, which is a Havana Wrap (the big corner rooms with the triple balcony) and would love any information anyone has on these rooms. I have been waiting for a few pictures that are not renderings....dying of curiosity!!:D

  7. Happy cruising, we will be on the Glory next month. Glad to hear that you are having a good cruise. If you can check and see if they have a live band for dancing in one of the lounges for me, I would really appreciate any feedback. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

There are live bands for dancing near the abr in the casino and in the atrium nightly...however, when we were on her 3 weeks ago they were so bad no one stayed for long to listen to them

  8. Maybe a sticker with your name, booking number and date of your second cruise would have saved the wine?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

The supervisor took all that info and assured us it would be delivered. When it was not we really didn't have any recourse...

  9. FYI: We just did a B2B on the Glory out of Miami and contrary to what the carnival rep told us and what has been reported on here... YOU CANNOT BRING ON 2 BOTTLES OF WINE EACH!! Even if you show both of your boarding passes. They took our second bottles and had us go to the security supervisor who assured us we would get them on the second half...NOPE! we went down and asked and were told sorry- they have been disposed of already! The service desk said this has happened before and did comp us 1 bottle of wine in the dining room. very frustrating though!

Aside from that small annoyance.. we loved our B2B and had an amazing trip!

  10. We just got back from a B2B onboard the Glory and had the social package ($25 each week) for both weeks. And while it was wonderful to have access to Facebook while on board- the plan clearly states Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram (LIES!!!) LOL I was unable to get any updates on anything but Facebook and neither could anyone else I talked to. When I asked the tech person they said "yes that is a problem we are having with the program".

I have an Android so I don't know if the issue was the same with IPhones also??? I would have purchased the plan just for Facebook alone so I could stay in touch with my kids but I wanted to be sure others understood that even though the plan lists all the other apps...they were not a working part of it.

  11. I am hoping someone knows the answer to this. I just got the following message:

You recently made a Carnival™ purchase of $132.42 on your Carnival™ MasterCard®. You have 180 days to redeem your "FunPoints"® for a statement credit toward your recent transaction. Be sure to take advantage of the "FunPoints" you currently have!1

My question is... I do not have another cruise booked until March, 2018 so can I purchase bar cash ( or whatever) with these points and use it on that future cruise, or does it have to be USED by that date?

BTW, if anyone uses these points, for some reason the bar cash is by far the best deal as it is point for point in value ( 2500 points = $25, 5000 points = $50) you can use the bar points for soda, coffee, and other non alcoholic options also.
