Just to add to the confusion this is what it actually says at the bottom of the daily sheet left in our room this evening (apologies for the poor photo). I have happily worn tshirts to various restaurants for lunch over the last week... Not sure what Celebrity think a tshirt is but their definition isn't the same as mine.

The outside. At the entrance an additional external door can create a lobby if I recall. You can also have the balcony opened up if you want. There is no internal door in the wall between the cabins, personally never had an issue of extra noise or anything if interconnecting.

When I looked at the UK site earlier today there is an early booking guarantee now on 2018 cruises:
"Better still, book before 28 February 2017 – for only £150pp deposit – and should you find our price or offer is more favourable between now and 31 December 2017, you can rebook the exact same cruise and stateroom with no loss of deposit. With so much on the horizon for 2018 – book today and never look back.*"

We were in an RS on Eclipse recently and ate in Sushi a few times when Luminae wasn't open for lunch. Each time the bill was $0, though they still felt the need to give it to us to sign...

I'm afraid I only cruise from the UK, but I'm sure someone will know!

You can pay to stay on board longer. You would need to be off 90 mins before the ship departs.

Hi Debbie, I was recently cancelled and rebooked at a lower price by a Celebrity rep who told me that we wouldn't lose our deposit as we were allowed the one change due to being Elite. So this should come into play.

Was also included in our package on Eclipse a couple of weeks ago. We had lunch in there a few times when Luminae wasn't open. I've never posted pics here before but will try to attach a couple of the non-sushi dishes!

If you are Elite or above in the UK you can rebook without losing deposit... Just the once.

Are you booking from the UK or US? In the UK Captains Club Elite and above ( I don't know if this applies to you) are allowed one free change to a booking, however the rebooking would be with whatever extras are on offer today so you could lose credit and drinks to get the lower price. You don't lose your deposit by doing this if you have the relevant "status" [emoji4]

Can anyone confirm the opening hours for Sushi on 5? We liked being able to eat a late lunch in Bistro so I'm interested to know if it is also open through the afternoon after conversion.
Thanks.

Does anyone have information on what classes are running currently on Eclipse please?
Thanks.

Yes, Luminae is open for lunch on the day of boarding, but if I recall I think it closes at about 1pm so make sure you aren't late boarding! We arrived after 12.30 so just asked if we could go straight there and we were very well looked after. We had a wide selection of wines, pretty much just asked the somellier for suggestions most nights.

We were in an RS on Eclipse last year and could dine in Bistro as much as we liked on the unlimited specialty so it doesn't make sense that they would rebrand the restaurant and then remove that perk. Another case of different rules on different ships depending on who you talk to?

Can anyone confirm if the new Sushi restaurant is always open for lunch on port days and until what time? We used to enjoy having Bistro available for a late sit down lunch occasionally as it was available all afternoon. Thanks.

I am a strict vegetarian; I assume - perhaps hopefully - there will be plenty of choice on the various menus and not just the obligatory one vegetarian dish per course?
We had a conversation with the waiting staff in Luminae one night about how we fancied a curry and they said what sort, we'll get the chef to make you one tomorrow, which they did and it was lovely (envious looks from other tables). If you are vegetarian just tell them and I think you will find they will be more accommodating than just the one option each night. It's a small kitchen with everything made to order so with notice they can do pretty much anything. Enjoy!

Isn't the Bristro available to all passengers and some staff members?

I know I'm slow to reply, but my considerably unclear post meant eat there for free, not just eat there [emoji4]. Sorry was typing in a hurry before dashing off!

Thanks for mentioning Bistro. We're in a RS on Eclipse in Sept and I wondered if we would also be able to eat there. Glad to hear we can!

SHIP: Celebrity Eclipse
CABIN #: 8271
DECK (#): 8
CLASS: 1B Balcony
AREA: Port, midships, in middle of hump
BED NEAR: Bathroom
QUIET?: Yes. Convenient location - very close to the elevators, mainly quiet - but could hear some music from Atrium when stood near cabin door - not loud enough to affect sleep.
BALCONY VIEW: Uninterrupted - on hump, can see a little of prom deck below. Note this balcony is resticted by the X on other Solstice class ships - but there is no X on Eclipse. Balcony glass is completely clear.
BALCONY SIZE: Regular size - plenty of room for 2 chairs & table.
WIND A PROBLEM?: No.
SOOT A PROBLEM?: No.
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: No issues - was glad balcony glass was clear!
Requesting a different bulter for a future cruise on the same ship

We booked a royal suite a couple of years ago and had a butler who we felt was a little hard work. He wasn’t very confident so didn’t particularly offer things, we had to be very specific with all our requests and repeat them, and felt that he wasnt always clear to let us know what he could do for us.. we were new to suite life at the time. At the end I gave him a relatively good rating (not a 10) and made a few comments trying to make constructive criticism around the fact that he seemed new in the role and needed to develop his confidence a bit to deliver better service. I did feel we could have had a better experience with a different butler.
The following year we got on the same ship, royal suite again, and lo and behold he walked in and was our butler again. My heart initially sank, but actually, he was really good. Remembered us and seemed to make an extra effort. For instance if we asked for something once he would do it again and ask if we wanted same every day, etc. So with more experience you might find the same guy would do a really good job. Especially if he felt he wasn’t as good as he could be due to his overloaded workload on your original cruise. Don’t worry, and I agree with what someone else said.. you could have a different butler who isn’t as good!
Hope it works out well for you whether you get the same person again or not!
