We were just gifted a dinner at Sabatini’s by our room steward.  It makes me really uncomfortable that he would actually do this given his salary and how hard he works. Could it be that the ship gives him the perk to give to one of his staterooms or even instructs him to give it out in his name.  He just gave us a handwritten note—nothing on official stationary. Has this ever happened to anyone else? ( We don’t even have the special relationship that we have had with some room stewards in the past)

We did book the room for 4 during the kids sail free promotion. We will be sailing with older teenagers and expect to be a little cramped. Great idea about scouting out nearby public bathroom. It just so happens there is one quite close. 

When traveling with 4 people in mini suite (Ruby Princess) does the drop down bed remain down during the whole cruise or is it stowed on a daily basis?  I assume the sofa bed is turned back into a sofa every morning?

We did this tour several years ago with Princess. We were concerned that it would be difficult to get back to the ship on time after the evening show at the pcc. In fact, the ship had to wait for us as we arrived after final boarding. I don’t know the timing of your departure, but this was our worry and experience. We really enjoyed the tour
