  1. Congrats New Brides! I suggest doing a ship tour to get a visual. If you contact the cruise wedding specialist they can assist with booking that for you.

We toured the Valor and got to watch a wonderful wedding! It was great to get to see how it all plays out.

  2. Ordering a custom cake topper online and trying to figure out what size to get. Ill probably end up with a 3 or 4 tier cake by the size of my current guest list. Any help from you carnival brides would be very much appreciated...

What size cake topper did you go with or what was the size of your top tier of cake?

We're going with the topper Carnival is going to give us. It's the two hearts 💕 we think it's cute and its one less expense.

  3. Now that Royal has released their dates for Anthem I can finally report that we have booked our wedding cruise! July 15, 2017 on Anthem of the Seas. Wow to think I've been on this board since 2015 and I finally have a date. So excited! :D I sent a quick text to our VIPs and then e-mailed my wedding planner so she can get all the info from Royal so we can go ahead and book the actual wedding.

So happy I finally get to do some planning!:D

wow! that's a huge ship! How exciting!?

  4. CONGRATULATIONS! August 13th is actually my bday hehe awesome day to get married!

We sent out our invites a year ahead of time. This way everyone has enough time to book, do a deposit or pay for it all at once. We also toured the ship ( I recommend everyone do this).

  5. I just learned last week that this was even an option. I too am curious to see when the other brides are completing this step if at all. I'm assuming the ship/wedding visit would need to be at least 3 months before your own wedding so there would still be enough time to inform the Carnival/The Wedding Experience of any changes you would like to make.

Do you know if Carnival charges for this service?

We just did a tour on Saturday. It's a free service for up too two tours. However we are over a year out for our wedding cruise. We did the tour to make sure this is what we wanted. It was a blast! We even got to see a wedding. I highly recommend doing a tour.

  6. 2017 is booking up fast. I had previously posted that we were going to get married on July 9,2017 on the Vista, but guess that was not the plan. I called and they are already booked up for this date, the next they had available was July 23, 2017...so July 23rd it is. We are booked, wedding ceremony/reception paid for...now the waiting begins. My daughter and I went to "look" at dresses this weekend and that truly all we could do, the bridal store was PACKED. They said that December/January would be a good time to start looking for a dress...uugh (I will be very white and pasty this time of year)...so I guess I will wait, would love to drop a few pounds before then anyway.

So...word form the wise, DON'T wait to book!:)

I had the same issue with the vista but instead we went with the Valor on a shorter cruise so more guest can join.

  7. The Vista is sooo pretty! I have to admit I'm a little jelly of all you Vista brides;)

So TOTAL change of plans.. The Vista was booked :( but we decided it was too long of a cruise for some our guest anyways. So we went with the VALOR, May 11th, 2017 leaving out of Port Canaveral. We did a tour on Saturday and fell in love with the cruise wedding!!

  8. I can't take any credit for this, I can only pass it on to you. A bride on these boards went through a lot of trouble making this spread sheet. I wish I could remember her name to give her the credit (I think her email is on the spreadsheet) but anyway...

I wish I had this sheet during my planning. She has thought of it all...

I had to upload it to my site... you can download it here

Wow!! This awesome!! thank you for sharing :D:D:D:D

  9. After picking a venue and looking over our budget, going to wedding expo's, stressing all the details... we decided to go with a Carnival wedding!

My fiance proposed August 2015 (my birthday) on the carnival sensation. We figured we love cruising, the price is right and why not have a long celebration!

We have already booked the Carnival Vista on January 22, 2017 and will be changing it to our wedding cruise! :D
