  1. Been to Nassau several times….I am going to go to John Watlings Distillery and Ardastra Zoo this trip…i have done carriage ride which was inexpensive and great…got to see a lot of island I couldn’t walk to…learned a lot of history also…

  2. A friend and I r cruising Thanksgiving week and he has hopes to scuba dive in Nassau and Freeport but both of those have disappeared from the excursion list….I talked with TA who talked with Carnival but didn’t really get an answer other than watch excursions….🤷‍♀️

  3. There are not many.....

You can try this place http://www.twinlimo.com/ but I am not sure if they are still in operation. They did ONLY accessible transportation....

You need to contact some places and ask if they have accessible vehicles...this is not the easiest thing in the world to arrange either...

  4. Are any of taxis handicap accessable with a lift? Does the jitney have a lift? My hubby uses a power chair. We r also thinking of taking his w/c so if need be I can push him Would w/c be easier for taxi or jittney? Thanks for any information.

  5. One more post about Tervis tumblers...I have about 10 of them in various sizes & various designs, our sports team, it's 5 oclock somewhere, etc...they are the best & made in the USA...keeps hot stuff hot & cold stuff cold...no sweating on the glasses nor rings on the end tables. I take at least 2 on every cruise...luv them! hold up well in the dishwasher....

  6. Haven't read all the replies...My husband has used a power chair for several years on the cruises...We drive to the ports as we have a lift in our van for the chair & for us is so much easier...A handicap accessible room is a necessity...The elevators can be trying at times but we just wait our turn...In the buffet we usually get a place to sit down, then I go for the food. Help is always there if needed...When you get on board first stop should be the main dining room to see where they have you seated...It may need to be changed which they will do...My husband used to have his chair parked & sit down at the table but the last couple of years he has sat in his chair at the table...If getting off the ship & the gangway is steep there is always help for him...Same for getting back up gangway from a destination...He cannot do a tender port but usually doesn't mind...Likes to stay on the ship & see the sights...The chair gives him so much more freedom to get around...At the theater he usually sits in his chair in the back & I get a seat near him...Don't forget your charger for the scooter unless it has an on board one & I always take an extension cord with us...All the staff has gone over & above to help if we needed it...Happy cruising...

  7. We will be sailing on the Royal Princess this December. My husband is recently disabled and will require a mobility device to get around. I heard about mobility scooter rentals and would like to ask if anyone has used a company that rents them to you and delivers it to your stateroom? It sounds really convenient to me. Any pros and cons would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have u checked with ur insurance to see if ur husband can get a chair or scooter?? My husband has a power chair as he is disabled & has trouble walking. They paid for it in full.

  8. Don't know if you're still around this forum or whether someone else might like to pipe in here...

How do you transport your own wheelchair/scooter from the airport to the cruise ship??? Many thanks!

With my husbands power chair, we have a Braun lift installed in our van...We usually cruise out of ports we can drive to...so much easier.
