Yes, Chi-town is "Second City" to the Big Apple. I think of their pizza as different entirely, especially when you are talking about Giordano's original stuffed pizza.

Lou Malnati’s, Gino’s East or UNO’s for me!

  2. We were booked on the Dubai-Rome May 8th Symphony Cruise, which was cancelled in March. We’d read on a travel site that if the airline e cancels your flight they have to give you a refund instead of a voucher. We watched our reservation. Last week our flight was cancelled, which we fully expected given that it was into Dubai and out of Rome. We received an email saying that we would automatically receive an e-credit to be used in the next 2 years. We called the airline and requested a refund for our 2 first class tickets.  They immediately issued the refund, without any questions or discussion. Great experience. Now if only we could get the refund on the cruise......

  3. Another vote of confidence for this company.  Our cruise was canceled due to Coronavirus.  We had booked with Oman Day Tours for our time in Oman.  When we had to cancel, they responded quickly and unlike some vendors issued refunds promptly.  Clearly customer service is a priority.  We're sad we won't have the chance to experience their tours in May 2020, but will definitely book with them when we are able to visit this part of the world.

  4. My husband and I are loyal Crystal cruisers for over 10 years. We are not inexperienced cruises, with 43 cruises, 377 days at sea.  Due to some extenuating factors we decided to try Celebrity again after a 10 year absence because there are more ships and itineraries available than Crystal currently has before their new builds start.  Our Celebrity Reflection cruise is in March. We purchased all 4 perks (including premium beverage pkg) to try to make it as inclusive as possible and as close to a Crystal Cruises experience where everything is included except shore excursions (specialty restaurants are also inclusive).  Ever since I purchased the cruise and have been reading the boards so that I am knowledgable again about Celebrity (we are Elite), I feel like I am being screwed.  I have no problem with paying a fair price for an amazing experience.  But everything I read is now there is a new promotion, a new sale, surcharges on the beverage package, leading me to believe that I have not gotten a fair deal.  This is ruining the planning of what was anticipated to be a nice cruise and perhaps a cruise line that might fit our needs when Crystal did not have anything to offer with our situation.  This may well be the end of our Celebrity cruises due to all this incessant price jockeying.  Just our opinion.

The embarkation lunch is the only thing of any great value if you're Elite status.

    Hi,

My husband and I are Elite status, but haven't sailed Celebrity for about 10 years.  We've been sailing another line which has become our favorite, but they didn't have a cruise that would work for us in March.  We booked a Reflection cruise to try Celebrity again.  Where is the Elite embarkation lunch?  How do you find it on embarkation day?  Sorry, probably a stupid question, but we're trying to figure out the details of sailing on Celebrity since we've been gone so long.

    Thanks!

  6. Hi,

We're new to Cunard, and will be sailing on a transatlantic and have a couple of questions:

    1)  if you purchase the drinks package at $69 pp/day, can you order wine by the glass on the package at dinner in the dining room?

    2)  I haven't been able to find the embarkation alcohol policy on the Cunard website.  I've read that you can bring 1 bottle of wine or champagne at embarkation (presumably per person), and yet I see people posting that they will be taking much more wine onboard with them.  Can someone please clarify for me?

    Thanks!

  7. I heard there is a bay or beach you can snorkel from??

Does anyone know how far it is from where the tenders drop you off?

There is a beach within easy walking distance of the tender pier. There are stairs down to the beach, however the stairs end, and the last 10 feet are a challenge to get down (and up)

  8. Hello,

We need to get from London to Tillbury with luggage for embarkment, then vice versa without for a day trip, then from Tillbury to Heathrow. Does anyone have any suggestions for good ways to go? We're on Crystal in July and August. Thanks in advance!

We are also looking for transfers from Central London to Tilbury for Crystal V6214. Are you on that voyage (I don't believe there is a roll call). We're not sure we want to wrestle with the luggage on the train. We've done it before, but are thinking that private transfers would be better. A lot of companies I've checked don't go to Tilbury. Will try Adelphi.
