The Concierge was Yahira Suazo. Don't know her schedule. She was a great help getting off the ship several days especially the last morning. Walked right past the long line. She also had a good suggestion on when to leave the ship before the crowds to get through customs.

Our Dawn Precovierage requests were not honored like the type of pillows and emptying of the mini bar. once onboard our snack requests were ignored and the butler just brought the featured snacks. perhaps SJ family Suites get less priority.

No it was just our butler we had on that cruise. Friends of ours on the same cruise had different butlers and recieved what they requested.

Perhaps I will call NCL over the next week or so and purchase OBC with the cash I have put aside. It will already be on my account when I board and it will save a trip to Guest Services. Is that correct?

The gift certificates that you buy are automatically put on your account. You will receive a receipt in your cabin showing it. The money shows up the next day but you will be able to charge to your oba on sail away day. There are also gift cards that you can purchase in various amounts. I got a couple 250s and 500s, 14 day cruise, and applied them as needed at guest services. I didn't need as much as I thought and used the remaining to pay down my upcoming cruise.

My last cruise I bought NCL gift cards for our OBA. Made it super simple and didn't need to carry lots of cash. Didn't need to put a card on our account when we checked in. I had a bit left over and used it toward our next cruise.

On a recent cruise we were not impressed with the butler-- our snack requests were not honored he brought whatever all the suites were getting that day, did not answer the phone a couple of times and did not follow thru on a room temp issue, he got 100. we did not use the concierge and all she did was try to suck up to those in the biggest suites she got less

I was assigned the Wednesday before a Sunday sail away and was assigned a suite. I know your frustration but it worked out well in the end for us.

This ticks me off. I often drink cherry pepsi in the evenings (pepsi with cherry vodka) and now i can't get it without pay extra. I am really getting ticked off with NCL!

Ask them to use the juice from the maraschino cherries.

I book as soon as I find a flight that is in the range I want to pay and the seats I want are available. I am picky as to where I want to sit. I have tried waiting for the price to drop a couple times and have been bit. A flight I normally take was quoted at $350 which was super high, I normally pay between $200 and $250, the price kept rising and I ended up paying $439. So now I book when I am comfortable with the price.

OH MY GOODNESS! This is making my day. Sorry for your troubles, but it was so worth it for the laugh I just had. You Are truly making me reconsider my Christmas 2017 Cruise and book the Escape instead.

And if you think about it, they not only ruined it for the Canadians, but for those in the United States as well.

 

I don't think anything was ruined for those in the United Sftates, as I believe they can prepurchase as much OBC as they want, because their money is of the same value. Please correct me if I am wrong.

 

I tried to purchase $2000 this past Wednesday and was limited to $1000. I live in Washington state.

It is also $1000 for people in the United States. I live in Washington State and tried to buy $2000 for our upcoming cruise and was limited to $1000 also. I ended up buying a gift card for the rest.

I have enjoyed all of our meet and greets. Also we are still friends with some we have met and are cruising together for the 2nd and some of us 3rd time.
