  1. We have been to GT twice and will be back there next year. First time we did horseback riding and pool time at margaritaville. Second time we walk up the beach to Jack's Shack and spent time on the beach. Enjoyed both trips, but really like the area up by Jack's Shack. Time is too short there all trips left or will leave at 2pm.

  2. The Villas are A, B, C, D & E. A,B & C are just to the left of the pirate ship bar if your looking at the island D is a little further down and then E is the furthest from the crowd. If you want to be the closest to the busiest area and louder music you want A, B or C.

We had D which IMO was less busy, not too loud and yes they come around and take your drink orders. Also only a 5 minute walk to the cookout area.

When you get off the ship they will transport you to your villa and when you leave they will transport you back.

  3. I think we were on the same cruise, April 19-26? Didn't know that about HMC and the sharks. But I am a certified diver and I was in about chest deep water and I seen a 3 foot or so fish come swimming by me at a very fast pace and immediately I looked to see what might be chasing it. Didn't see anything, but know I have to wonder. lol! We had cabana #10 about half way down the beach.

  4. How was the piano bar on the Pride? We are going for our Honeymoon in July...we were on the Splendor last year and had a great time in the piano bar!

Didn't actually spend any time in there, but the times that I walked by there were many people in there having a good time!

  5. Did you try anytime dining? Did you encounter any wait for dinner? We're planning on eating probably in the 7-7:30 pm time frame.

We did do anytime dining. They do this on deck 3 upper dining room. At that time you should be ok. We ate around 6pm and the line was long waiting to be seated, but it moved very quickly. I would say about a 5 or 10 minute wait in line and your seated.

  6. What ports? We are on the Pride this summer and struggling with what to do in the Bahamas.

We did Grand Turk, Halfmoon Cay and Freeport. We did the beach at Jack's Shack on GT, Cabana on HMC and just port shopping in Freeport. The beach area is much better up by Jack's shack just a short walk up from the port.

  7. Baltimore is quite a distance from the Caribbean, what were the 'days at sea' to and from like?

To start Sunday it was cool I would say around 60 degrees. Didn't start warming up until about late on Monday. Also the seas were a little rough once we got out of the bay early Monday morning until later that day.

The last sea day (Saturday) was also cool and cloudy. Basically in this weather your 1st and last sea days you either cover up or spend them inside.

  8. Can you tell me what's available to eat late night? Husband and I used to enjoy the late night buffet of burgers and hot dogs with fries and cookies each night before bed around 11 or so.....but my understanding is they don't have this anymore :( Is there anything then or just room service?

    Pizza and room service menu.

  9. Any complaints about rattling or rocking in your very aft cabin?

1st sea day was a little rocky. We have had rooms in the front, middle and now on the aft. It appeared to be more noticeable in the aft area. Also a little vibration, but I found it put me to sleep easier or the alcohol may have helped too.

  10. Other than the Spa use, location and better bath samples, not much. Personally we like the spa use for showers, steamrooms, sauna and T-Pool and I do like the location. We were in 1114 last year and liked the location to the Lido deck. Didn't really notice anymore motion, but the seas were pretty smooth. If you don't plan on using the spa facilities, I wouldn't spend the extra.

  11. Just a couple questions, we are on the Pride next Sunday 4/19.

Did either of you park at the port? If so, what's the best time to get there and what time did they start boarding? We are staying only about 15 minutes away on Saturday.

This is our first time on the Pride, we are 51, 50 and DD 10. I probably won't see your reviews before we go, is there anything we must know or do?

    Thanks

  12. We were there last year with 13 people and had Villa D, so cabana 9, 10 or 11 is right after Villa D and is a great location and close to the bathrooms and short walk for lunch but far enough away from the larger crowds. We will be there again in 3 weeks, just 3 of us, and I have a cabana booked and will be looking for any of those 3 cabanas.

  13. Everyone has a right to their opinion and I respect that!

But I guess different strokes for different folks, none of those thing mentioned would have bothered me to the point of labeling my cruise as "disappointing". I think anytime you go on vacation not everything will always go as you plan or would like and sometimes you need to just roll with it!

Thanks for posting, we are on the Pride in April.
