Is there something wrong with the "tap" water that makes people buy the bottled water? I always take an insulated water bottle and refill 5x/day. I would drink a 6pk of bottles (20oz) per day. Am I missing something?

following - would love to see the dailies as well!

I don't see the JVD excursion on the NCL website for Tortola? Did it possibly sell out already? Or not being offered? I'm afraid to book an outside vendor excursion, being our last day there. With my luck, we'd run late and I'd miss the ship.

Water was beautiful when I was there a few years ago. the turbidity of the water in the pictures could be from runoff from recent storm events.
When I was in Sanibel, FL last winter - the water was very murky. It was due to FL having massive amounts of rain and storm events the month prior. Still a disappointment when I was there, but good to know it wasn't a permanent thing.

I'm not sure if you have anything planned for Tortola but I have the card from the tour we used with an email address if you have any interest in using him. He was a hoot without even trying to be - plus we had a great group of other pax. It was $20 per person for about 4 hours - sounds like he does custom tours if you so desire.
Gem was great - have a fun time.
Would you mind sharing the card for your tour? We go next month and I'm looking for something to do (on my birthday!) in Tortola! Many thanks!

I called yesterday and they gave us a complimentary room upgrade (not a big deal, really). They wouldn't allow us to get the wifi, casino credit, or any single thing else. The NCL agent said we'd have to pay for a new room at that price level to get those perks. But, I called back 3 times before I got the room upgrade, so keep trying!

I didn't get anything either. Is this for the big(ger) money players? We drop a few thousand each cruise, but that doesn't seem to be enough? We couldn't even get a free drink at the tables. Seemed the slots players got more rewards bc time played, not money spent?

I got the thermal pass last year and was there 4 of our 7 days. I also bought a massage which was nice, but I won't do this time. The thermal pass was around $125 for the week and included the wet/dry saunas, mist showers, hot tub, thermal tub, and hot stone recliners. Excellent way to wind down. I split my time between the spa and the bar!
Finally lowering bottled water prices

thanks! I thought the tap water was safe!
