Hello.  We are invited to a wedding on the Mardi Gras and have an option of booking an 8C category cabin on deck 10 or an 8D category cabin on deck 11.

I have sailed the Mardi Gras before and we were in a cove balcony.  What I didn't like about this ship is how many cabins overlook deck 8 or look into another cabin.  But I can't figure out what cabins to avoid! A cove balcony is not an option so I could use help figure out which 8C or 8D cabins on decks 10 and 11 will avoid the issue.  I also think I read to avoid cabins on the starboard side because of the smoking deck below.  If anyone can help me figure this out, I would appreciate it!

I appreciate your detailed review.  Can you tell me your cabin number?  I would like to avoid a situation where another cabin is looking down on us and we are looking down on someone else!

Hello.  A family member would like to cruise with us on the Horizon in March.  There seems to be very few balcony cabins left other than the TBA option.

If they go, I want them to enjoy their cruise so I am thinking about giving them our balcony cabin on a higher deck and we take the Cove balcony I was able to put on a 48 hour hold.  I am concerned though because I think it is under the galley.  Can anyone tell better than me if Cove Balcony 2392's location will suck?  

Also if my husband has our original cabin in his name, can I book a cabin for our family member in my name?  My husband and I both can get the $500 onboard credit, family member cannot.  Has anyone done this before?

Hello.  We are finally rescheduling our Panorama cruise and are looking at early February.  We have never been to L.A. or to

any of the ports the Panorama goes to.  Can anyone give me insight into the weather at that time of year?
We are 2 adults and don't spend a lot of time in the pools, but we do like to be outside. Is there a better time of year to do this itinerary?

We are cruising out of NYC in September and it's our first time there.  Flight to EWR are a lot cheaper than flights to LGA.  But what is the easiest and reasonably priced way to get to Manhattan?  We don't want to rent a car or take an Uber.

Cabin 2474 opened up- an aft cabin and my friend put that on hold.  But to me the railing at the back of the ship that is beyond the balcony railing would be annoying?  Has anyone ever stayed in that cabin?

From what I can tell cabin 2386 is under the galley.  And unfortunately that is the only cabin left that I can choose myself.  

As to the Terrazza area, I wouldn't use a pool anyway.  The seating area looks nice but I am not sure about an inside cabin.  

I am surprised this cruise has so few cabins left- except for inside cabins.  

Hello.  I am looking to book a September cruise on the Venezia.  The only Terrazza cabin left is an inside, but you still get the perks of the Terrazza area.
And the only balcony left is cabin 2386.  I can't tell what is directly above the cabin and if there would be noise.  Price is the exact same.  I would love any input for what cabin to choose and why.  Thank you!

With airline tickets being so high, we are flying into FLL for our upcoming cruise out of Miami.

We are coming in the day before, and will need to find transportation from FLL to the hotel.

Does anyone have recent recommendations for a shuttle service with prices?  Any idea of of Uber prices?
We will probably use Carnival's shuttle service back to FLL after the cruise.
 

My son is sailing on the Horizon and I'd like to gift him a Christmas gift of things he will need on his cruise.
How many outlets are in the cabin and where are they located?  Any ideas for necessary items

that would make a good Christmas gift?  He's 26 and will be going with his girlfriend so the gift will be for both of them.

He has cruised before, she has not.  

Hello we will be sailing on Carnival Celebration in February.  Our ship is in port at 10 am.  I am looking to book a private tour and it says it starts at 10 am San Juan time.

Is the ship on San Juan time or the port it left from's time?

We ended up booking a last minute Alaskan cruise on the Spirit to replace our London cruise. There weren't many cabins left.

Will I regret booking 7147?  I have never been that far forward.  Are you more likely to feel sea sick?  Will that be an issue on an Alaskan cruise?

We cruise on February 5th.  I just noticed that it is not too late for us to add Carnival's cruise insurance for $109 per person.
We have never purchased the insurance, and I am wondering if it would be a good idea to buy it now?  

Please give me the PROs for buying the insurance.  I suppose the CON would be that the $109 pp could be spent elsewhere.

We have a cruise scheduled on the Mardi Gras in February.  My husband just texted that I should cancel because of the 48 positive cases on the Royal Caribbean ship.

We are vaccinated and have had the booster.  Is it still safe to cruise?  How can I convince him?  This would be our 3rd cancellation during covid.

We booked our first ever European cruise for July 2022 to Scotland, Ireland and Wales.  I have been anxiously waiting for the shore excursions to show up but

so far the only ones are in Belfast.  It's about 7 months out and I am wondering when they usually are posted by Carnival?  Are there any that you'd highly recommend for someone who has never been to Europe before.  I can't wait!

If I don't know when I want to rebook for, will they just save the credit in my account?  Or is it best I book a different cruise when I call?  Are they offering full refunds by chance?  

What is the current cancellation policy for Carnival.  We are due to cruise in early October on the Panorama.  My sailing partner and I are both vaccinated.  

But I worry about the Delta variant since I care for my elderly mother and watch my unvaccinated grandchildren a few times a week.  

Are they now serving Pepsi for bottomless bubbles?  

Thanks, everyone!  I did what was suggested and got the better rate and $500 OBC for both cabins.  My husband is worried about it, but I told him that I saw it here.

So if I book one cabin in my name and the other cabin in my husband's name and then switch it onboard, is that going to cause any issues?  Will Carnival know we did that for the better rate?  At dinner, when you give the room number, will that cause any issues?  I guess I don't really understand how that works.  My daughter is not a minor if that makes any difference.  

I am looking to book 2 cabins for 2 passengers in each for a cruise on the Pride in July 2022.  My husband's VIFP # is entered for one cabin and my daughter's VIFP for the other cabin.  My husband's cabin gets a $500 onboard credit.  My daughter's cabin does not get any onboard credit and costs $280 more than my husband's cabin.

If I put in my VIFP # for my daughter's cabin, I get the same deal as my husband.  My daughter has been on 1 less cruise than us, so that must be the difference.  Do you think that if I call, Carnival would extend the same offer for my daughter's cabin, or are we just out of luck? 

We are planning a family cruise to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.  We have chosen the Carnival Pride London (Dover) -Edinburgh- Kirkwall (Orkney Islands)- Portree, Isle of Skye Belfast- Dublin- Holyhead, Wales End: London (Dover)  next July.  Is there a better side of the ship to choose for going into these ports?  

I'd ask if there is a better deck to choose, but this is probably subjective.  Is there any deck/cabins to avoid on the Carnival Pride?  I am so excited to take my parents

on a cruise!  I want everything to be perfect for them.

Hi all.  I just booked an October cruise on the Panorama as a surprise for my husband. 

But when looking at some shore excursions I saw that rainy season and even hurricane season is in October!

Is this true and I would probably be better off cancelling and rebooking for another month?  

We have never cruised out of the west coast and I didn't even consider weather as being a factor.

October is the best month for us to cruise, but I'd hate to go and face rain every day.

We spent a wonderful day in Cozumel being taken around by Victor with Tours Plaza. Pick up right off the ship was easy. We were 3 women traveling alone and felt very safe with Victor. He showed us a map to help us plan our time with him. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question that we asked him. Victor escorted us to each stop and was able to tell us all about what we were seeing. He was so personable and we felt like we made a new friend by the end of the day. I highly recommend using Tours Plaza for your day tour of Cozumel and ask for Victor.
